What is it all About?
Sydney Rock Band MY FUTURE LiES are embarking on a Drive with Reason.
Frontman Lukey Lukess, will be driving his 1959 Austin Healey Sprite from Sydney to Uluru to raise money for Parkinson's research, and to raise awareness in the local communities about the disease along the way. Our goal is to raise over ten thousand dollars.
MY FUTURE LIES will be performing 9 shows in Regional towns and Capital cities as well as holding 5 Meet and Greet sessions at stops along the way. A photo shoot will be held at Uluru on July 5th.
A Little About Parkinson's Disease
There is no cure for Parkinson's disease, and it is second only to dementia as the most common chronic neurological condition.
The most common misconception is that it is an "old person's" disease. Twenty percent are under 50 when they are diagnosed (Michael J Fox was diagnosed at age 30).
The under 50s with Parkinson's is equivalent to 60% of the entire number of people with MS.
There is a lack of awareness and service coordination, whereby people do not access services that would reduce the impact of Parkinson's. Acid Eyeliner hope to help change that.
“Parkinson’s disease poses a significant public health burden which is likely to increase in the coming years. Along with Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s is expected to surpass cancer as the second most common cause of death by the year 2040”. CSIRO 2002
Help the Acid Eyeliner boys raise awareness and much needed funding for research for this disease. They depart Sydney on June 30th.

Good idea is to make a can/box with money slot and then at the show's people can just drop whatever coin's/change into that can/box to raise the foundation/charity drive that way and doing this also
I personally pledge at least $100, and I intend to see what I can get done through my school. Even if all I get is a notice in the school newsletter (and maybe more; I have connections), that'll give you a boost. And like you said in the video, its also about raising awareness.

so ah speacking of drive for charity im also doing a swim for charity i am swimming to ularu and back in a 1948 pair of speedos(omg im lame lol did ya get my message bout sponcers lol hope i can help)
the whole skys the limit crew and bumble bee factory will be suporting u the whole way (medaforicly speaking) what ya doing is a great great thing and not many people would ever think about doing something like that and when i can drive i wana do the exact same thing as you!
