Music Director, Vere Henry, of Pansonic, will be conducting an introduction to Steel Pan workshop, sponsored by your bus driver & Tropic Heat Studios, for all-ages...anyone interested....during his visit to St Elmo ~ Drive The Bus ~ Caribbean Festival.

Hope everything is smooth driving and everyone has a great time. So sorry we'd committed to something else before the date was changed. Even if we weren't doing what we have to do here in Nashville on Saturday, I'm not sure I'd even be able to find any gas to drive out there. Crazy week, even crazier day.

I do hope you will come to the Party - the musicians! it will be ...like meeting your new best friends, and so talented! JIM BECKWITH'S SHOW is going to be historic! I've got an amazing band lined up to back him!!! (music teachers/students from UT Knoxvile - they played the Antiqua Carnival this year!)I can't wait until that moment - all the work done, and I get to enjoy the party. I'm shorthanded or there would be a lot more publicity and posters, etc. So I'm counting on word of mouth which is going well :-) and folks sharing w/ their friends via myspace and email. - one of my friends/musicians, scheduled to perform: Joe White & Stone Cold Soup - (doing their original Country Music), he used to play with the Jerry Garcia band, (produed Huey Lewis too) said this reminds him of the "vibe" of a Dead Head concert - like a reunion. My greatest challenge is to achieve an intimate feeling where everyone, from on stage to the audience, feels like they are united at a private party - not some commercial show ... I don't do those. This is just me, throwing a party - it just happens to be in the heart of ST Elmo's historic bussiness district :-) Please come! Tell your friends, and bring chairs, blankets, etc - like Night Fall- to be a part of the friends arriving. Saturday starts at 2PM (Caribbean food!!) with live music beginning at 6PM, lots of surprises for both those on stage and in the audience :-) Sunday is Interantional Day of Peace, and this event is listed on their main website. WE begin at NOON with a DRUMCIRCLE!!!! BRING DRUMS! - Sunday's schedule is noon - 8 pM, with more wonderful music, including a Steel Band from Atlanta! A free workshop in Steel Pan will preceed their concert - for anyone interested/all-ages. & DAVID LLEWELLYN - award winning songwriter!
