My interests have always revolved around creating a forum for creative people to share their art with others. Strong, heartfelt and thought provoking music, films, television, and multimedia all deserve a chance in the spotlight, no matter how large the stage is or no matter how many jumbled metaphors I can fit into one sentence..
Music
Evan Dando, Juliana Hatfield, Kay Hanley, Blake Babies (OK, basically, Boston!), The Police, Lyle Lovett, Dag Nasty, Gin Blossoms, The Cure, The Church, Echo and the Bunnymen, any and all Celtic music, NIN, Black Flag, Rancid, Big Country, Lemonheads, Skids, Down By Law, Sublime, The Polins, element, Sunshine Jones, and on and on and on...
Movies
Too numerous to list... I tend to lean towards independent films and creative directors. Some heroes from the silent era include D.W. Griffith, Fritz Lang, V. I. Pudovkin and Kenji Mizoguchi. For popcorn/Hollywood pleasure I would have to say some of my favorites are: Jaws, Usual Suspects, Momento, The Machinist, Dr. No, The Others, Restless Natives, Ghost Story, etc...
Television
The first five seasons of the X-Files, anything remotely related to the history of or the making of movies, old school In Search Of, House, CSI, any and all shows about ghosts, everything on the Food and Travel Channels, and anything involving hockey...
Books
Currently, I am enjoying the class of the Sherlock Holmes mysteries.
About me: "Drive" is a new short film by Florida-based Director John Osif. This short will be released in March 2007. Look for 'Drive' in film festivals across America and Europe this summer! John is a mild mannered executive producer at pbs by day...
Who I'd like to meet: a gentle dentist, a happy toll booth worker, sympathetic world leaders, and considerate people at a buffet. Other than that, I think it would be cool to have a conversation with Ben Franklin, Frank Sinatra, Rosa Parks, Charlie Chaplin, Kevin Fincher or my Grandfather.
tank.tv is inviting submissions to its forthcoming show, The Whole World, curated by Ian White.
tank.tv is looking for lists! Top 100s, 50s, 1000s! Lists of people, animals, minerals, vegetables! Good lists, bad lists and mediocre lists. Lists of anything and everything.
See www.tank.tv for further details Deadline: 1st March 2008

Hey there,
Thank you! I'm so excited! Yes, it's about time you guys wrapped up that film, haha. I'm sure 'drive' will be great. What I've seen so far has been really impressive.
Well, see you around!
Thanks for being one of our myspace friends. Your friendship and support for Big Country over the years has and still is genuinely appreciated. As is every one of our myspace friends.
Today, we passed the 10,000 friends figure, and to you, and every friend of BC on myspace, we thank you all.
We exercise a rotating friends policy, and you are a top friend, as is every one of our 10,000+ friends, a Top Friend.
So many people are rediscovering the band through myspace (as well as many people discovering the band for the first time and "love BC" - their words, not ours!), and its amazing how much and how deeply the band touched so many hearts in the past 25 years.
As you probably know, you can also visit us at our official website http://www.bigcountry.co.uk where there is message boards, chatroom, shop, full history, pics, videos and lots more (latest items in Shop include WONDERLAND t-shirt and ECLECTIC dvd).
And keep visiting http://www.myspace.com/bigcountryscotland for everchanging tunes and more (we’ve just added YOU DREAMER to the myspace player).
If you wish to, feel free to spread the word and recommend BC to your myspace friends and ask them to send an add friend request to us if they wish to join the BC community.
Thanks once again for your support, all the best for the future, keep in touch and keep on rockin !
