Already credited with a sell-out show at New York's Mercury Lounge and critical acclaim from around the world having played three showcases at South By South West 2008; the guys have returned to studio to work on their debut album, due this Spring 2009.
With two official releases under their belt, each to rave reviews, their 2nd single 'Departure' "Throwing anthemic shapes, this wedge of mournful indie-rock is beautifully crafted, the initial spark becoming an inferno before raging its way into an eminently epic chorus" Alternative Ulster Magazine, and 2007s AA side 'Fears of Men/In Denial' each still receiving plays on both sides of the Atlantic, it's a sure fire cert that follow up releases will be equally well received by fans and critics alike.
Although busy with recording the album, DBN have been gigging constantly, showcasing their powerful brand of anthemic rock around the globe, and proving beyond a doubt that they are an intense live experience, delivering tracks both introspective and euphoric. Driving By Night consistently prove that they are the must see band at the moment.

(SXSW Review) "While most of these showcases offered up some impressive talent - highlights included Belfast 's Driving By Night" - National Geographic World Music
"Playing heartfelt anthems of love and loss for the heartbroken, Driving by Night are mere steps away from the adulation that they deserve" - Morning Star, London
"Driving By Night is melodic indie rock with heartfelt lyrics. Their live performance, recently, at the Mercury Lounge in NYC was riveting!" - Sher, Host on www.HomeGrownRadioNJ.org
"A charismatic, fiery performance and melancholic, crooning vocals match perfectly their lively dynamics, while the acoustic 'Weakness' brings a few wistful, mournfully laid back moments" - BBC - Across The Line
"This single shows they have almost mastered the effortless indie longing sound. You can tell that this band has been brought up on a diet of the best bands of the Nineties, and they aren't afraid to distill their influences into a sound that is their own. The result is confident and unforced" - BelfastToday.net
(Fears of men single review) "You sense they could slide up the slipstream to become a band of the people with such heart wrenching anthems as 'In Denial'" - Designer Magazine, Manchester
