DR. MARS recorded songs for an upcoming EP at Dave Catching's Rancho de la Luna studio in Joshua Tree, CA in February 2008. The songs were produced by Chris Goss (Masters of Reality, Goon Moon) and engineered by Ed Monsef.

DR. MARS is a rock band formed in 1999 by:

Liam O'Malley of NYC's VIVA; Boston's Debonaires, Hot Box, Butchy Does, UltraMaroons, Mighty C.O.s

and:

John Leamy of NYC's Surgery and Satellite - and still currently of Masters of Reality

DR. MARS recorded a self-produced LP, Up in the Air engineered by Nik Chinboukas at Spin Music Studios in NYC. The songs on this page are from those sessions. Scott Kleber of Surgery plays lead guitar on Way Out, and Matt Harris aka Alice Burnside co-wrote and plays bass on Newsstand.

John and Liam joined Chris Goss and David Catching of Eagles of Death Metal to perform Masters of Reality's only 2005 live show in Azkena in the Basque Country.

Joe Arcidiacono (Brand New Skin and Buffalo Speedway) and Jory Hull have been recently been playing guitar and bass with John and Liam. Joe played bass for the recent Rancho de la Luna sessions.
