Dr. Mic & The Brain Ninjas is composed of four white guys, two lovely ladies and three black men. Please understand we list our ethnic background so that you understand that like the band itself our music is diverse. We cover genres for alternative rock to new groove techno. We began our journey in the new millennium. Over the years we have worked with many different people. We always welcome undiscovered raw talent to join us. We are exclusively an internet band. This means that we do not tour and do not play shows. We come from all different walks of life with one common bond between us-the love of music. This is our first CD release, and we have decided to let people download the music for free in hopes of gaining exposure. Our plans for the future are to rock on and grown in the number of people we work with. Remember we are just a very small part of Pittsburgh under ground sound. We need your help to bring it to the surface.
Real Fine QT- This is another song that was written by Greg Kocis and kissingermd. Greg wrote the Music, and kissingermd wrote the lyrics. It was a rush production, but Greg thinks it the best one that we have done together. It is a different kind of rap song.
Download- this is our attempt at a MJ song. It also has the feel of Kool and the Gang. It was recorded at Innertube Studio. Nick play’s all of the instruments. kissingermd on lead Vocals, and Rollz does the rap. It’s a really cool idea. Nick and Rollz like the song, but I think it could be better.
Half Black and Half Hunky- This song was written by kissingermd and Greg Kocis. The music and Greg’s vocals were recorded in New York at Greg’s Studio - Cage Café. The lead vocals were done at my old studio Scratch Track. The song is a Novelty song. We want you to laugh at it. It’s mostly about my feeling as to being Bi-racial, and is not made to make people upset. If it upsets you then good art solicits a response.
Frayed- This song was written by kissingermd, Tony, and Nick. It was recorded at Scratch Track, and is truly one of my favorites. This is one of those ones that just came together. Tony I had a discussion about keeping common goal, and being frayed. I had written some lyrics that fit. The so much weight on my back I can feel the heart attack. Tony plays most of the instruments except for the bass. Nick played the bass. I pick the entire instruments that I wanted in the song. I had a sound in mind. I produced the song, directing Tony on the sounds I wanted. I think with Tony’s booming voice and the arrangement it is a really cool tune.
Innuendo- This song was written by Lisa, Tony, Nick, and kissingermd. I got the idea from EE Cumming’s poem titled “she being brand new.” It’s really to showcase Lisa’s voice. It is in the vain of R&B. It was recorded at Scratch Track. I like this one, but do not think it’s the best. Nick plays all the instruments. Lisa and Tony do the Vocals.
