Dromana Bowls Club, overlooking Port Phillip Bay, is located on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria, Australia.
As of the 4th of March 2007 both of our grass greens are being replaced with two new synthetic carpet greens and lights. This will allow us to bowl all year round, have extended hours of play and be able to bowl at night.
Dromana currently has a membership in excess of 200 and is growing all the time through increased interaction with the community.
Dromana Bowls Club offers -
A friendly social atmosphere with: great social events;
social bowls events; and, bar happy hours.
For more serious bowlers: a strong and successful pennant culture; and, a chance to improve your bowls amongst the best bowlers and coaches on the peninsula.
New iniatives to promote the game of lawn bowls amongst younger and working people: night bowls, a barefoot bowls, program, a corporate bowls program and a junior bowls program.
Various affordable membership categories: cheap membership rates for working people, and cheap membership rates for junior bowlers.
Guests are very welcome at the club so drop in and see us next time you are in the area.
Mi piacerebbe conoscere: Dromana Bowls Club welcomes everyone to come and try bowls at one of our Barefoot Bowls nights. We also welcome any bowlers, or non-bowlers, out there to drop by for a roll up, join in an organised game drop in for a drink, or take part in one of our excellent social functions.
Barefoot Bowls has finished for this season and will be back again next season after the new greens have been completed. In the mean time we hope to see all those Barefooters who took up our free trial membership down at the club, once the greens have been completed, to come down for a bowl and perhaps register a team in an upcoming competition.
Thanks go to the volunteers who helped out over the many weeks to make Barefoot Bowls such a great event. Barefoot Bowls helps lift the clubs profile in the community, supports the club financially, has attracted a record number of members; all of which is impossible without your hard work.
