"...one of the strangest and most fun listening experiences I've had in quite some time." Delusions of Adaquacy
"Ajax Muffler sounds like a collision, orchestrated by director John Waters, at a foggy four-way intersection between the Talking Heads, Crack The Sky, Zappa and the The B-52s. They make Jack White's eccentric, yet commercial teasing, projects look like disturbing Levittown normalcy." Dangerdog.com
"Ajax Muffler is Zappaesque, a very unique album, funky in a Sly Stone sorta way." UC Radio (bitemefcc.com)
"Drool Brothers have skillfully mastered the ability to create their own musical signature through and through." Music, Film, and Book Reviews (http://musicfilmandbookreviews.blogspot.com)
Drool Brothers were brought up within L.A.’s music culture. Chuck Mancillas, brother Tom Slik and Joe Kramer are pioneers in the DIY scene having released cassettes, vinyl 45’s, CDs and have played with and produced countless L.A. based artists. Their first single, an orange vinyl 33 1/3 entitled, Halloweenish, released in 1996, still gets spins on College radio to this day and remains a popular download. Their previous two CDs, Self Titled (2001) and Kasio Montigo (2004) became College radio staples charting across the nation and spawned several singles on various compilations. Their newest 2009 release, Ajax Muffler, is a fuzz driven psychological collage of pop culture that incorporates various fuzz boxes, bongos, farfisa organ, thrift store electronics to portray a landscape of the human condition.
"... it's a great, trippy video that fits the Drool Brothers' song perfectly. Outobouros Podcast UK
