Drop Anchor is a 4 piece rock outfit from Philadelphia, PA and surrounding areas. Forming in 2007, the band consists of bassist/vocalist Kevin Mooney, guitarist/vocalist Matt Buckley, guitarist Brad Holstine, and drummer Harold Echols. In 2008, they released their debut EP “Parallels” to throw ideas at the wall and see what stuck, and it immediately garnered attention from the local scene. Feeling comfortable in their direction and hitting their stride, Drop Anchor now draws heavily from the music they grew up with, exploring a modern take on raw rock/grunge influenced by the likes of Alice in Chains, Quicksand, Stone Temple Pilots, and Nirvana.
Currently pushing a free promotional CD with two new tracks, the band plans on releasing the next as-yet-untitled EP this Spring.
