With well-crafted hard rock anthems, thunderous
ferocity, and over-the-top, high-energy performances,
DROPCLUTCH is making a serious name for themselves in the
Northeast, and taking no prisoners along the way.
They hit the road regularly
as club headliners, share the stage with national acts (e.g.
Seether, Breaking Benjamin, Framing Hanley, Joey Belladonna
of Anthrax), and have earned opportunities to play high profile
shows, including Philadelphia's prestigious Independent Music
Conference. In every situation, DROPCLUTCH raises the energy
level through the roof and leaves audiences hungry for more.
Their debut album
The Reason, produced by Billy Graziadei (Biohazard, Suicide
City), has received acclaim & accolades from fans and reviewers
alike. In fact, devoted fans made "Pressure," the first single from
The Reason, one of the most highly requested songs in New York and
Pennsylvania before the album was released!
"It was amazing to hear that
we were the number two most requested band in the Southern Tier of
New York. Our album hadn't even been released yet and people were
already digging what we were doing!" says singer Shawn Clutch.
From that great beginning,
the success of the album has only grown. In its first week of
release to radio, The Reason was FMQB's 2 Most Added Album and CMJ
Loud's 3 Most Added Album.
In March of 2008 "Chemical,"
the album's second single, was hand picked by Billy Corgan
and Jimmy Chamberlin of Smashing Pumpkins
to appear on Guitar Center's Fresh Cuts Vol. 2.
DROPCLUTCH has also been
featured on major music sites including Destort.com (March '07),
Unsunghero.com (September '07), and was Reverb Nation's featured
artist in May 2008, as the band climbed to 11 on their rock charts.
This exposure has helped augment their ever-growing fan-base, and
the band now receives hundreds of friend/fan requests on MySpace.com
& thousands of hits on their website each week.
With the potent combination
of Shawn Clutch's incendiary vocals & explosive stage
presence, Josh VanDusen's powerful & percussive bass, the
driving rhythmic engine of drummer Brandon Shuldt and the
powerful roar of guitarist Adam Skellett, the band is built
to be noticed & fans, supporters, labels and press have done exactly
that.
Despite their ever-growing success, DROPCLUTCH remains focused, keeping their
sights set on the music and the fans:
"We love our fans more than
the world" Shawn Clutch explains. "Everything we do is
dedicated to them. Without them we are nothing!"
