OUR STORY
Drop Dead Julio is a 4-piece cast of characters that formed in early 2006.
The band name jokingly mocks drummer James Julio (Julie-OH). Humor, an ability to connect and work a crowd and catchy rock-pop-punk sing alongs define the DDJ brand.
Since forming in 2006, Drop Dead Julio has hit some real milestones. DDJ has shared the stage with Unwritten Law, 12 Stones, After Midnight Project, The Lemonheads and Salt Lake City favorites Royal Bliss (Capitol Records).
Most recently, via Sonicbids, The Kevin Says Stage chose Drop Dead Julio to perform at Warped Tour in Salt Lake City.
The band’s music has been featured on KROQ in Los Angeles, KOMP in Las Vegas, KBEAR 101 in Eastern Idaho and KBER, The Blaze and X96 in Salt Lake City. X96, Salt Lake City’s alternative station, has put Drop Dead Julio several times in its ‘Beehive’s Best’ segment. KBER 101 in SLC put Drop Dead Julio in the top 10 of local bands for 2008. DDJ has two EP CDs, both on sale on iTunes, www.cdbaby.com and Amazon.com.
Expect a third EP CD in spring 2010 and watch for Drop Dead Julio to expand to Colorado. Currently the band tours throughout Northern Utah, Nevada and Idaho.
