The current lineup for DropKick was recently formed (Oct. ’07) as a group of 16-17 year olds who live only a few blocks away from eachother in Massapequa, NY. They all met at the local High School and admired each other’s talents and abilities in music. In the short time they’e been together, they had been determined to write their own music and develop their musical skills with a passion matched by few.
Lyrics penned by Drummer, Jon Frascati define the band’s many facets and range from the frustrations of growing up on Long Island, to ups and downs of relationships. He uses his own life experiences as the inspiration for his writing. The music is composed by Guitarist/Vocalist, John Misciagno who draws upon influences both new and old, to mesh a combination of Punk and Grunge with a hint of Pop and Blues influences. Two recent additions were made to the band. Guitarist, Nick Russo and Bass Guitarist, Mike Horowitz have picked up the new material and made it their own. Nick’s guitar playing is powerful and edgy which adds to the bands feel, while Mike’s bass playing is intricate and melodic, giving the band their unique sound. The band is exicited about writing new originals with this lineup.
DropKick’s live performances are exciting, powerful and no doubt beyond their years of experience. In a short period of time they’ve managed to develop a loyal fanbase as they continue to write new songs.
We used to be called "Mumrik" that was looking for a singer and now we finally found a singer and the band name became STM since we are working together at a distance of 6000miles from Leeds, UK to Kyoto, Japan. We have uploaded 3 songs now. Check out how it works.

Island Wide Booking will be hosting a battle of the bands on July 17th at Broadway in Amityville.
Details:
- Each show will have around 15 bands
- Each band will be given the opportunity to play 3 songs in front of their fans and our panel of judges.
- There will be one winner from each show that will walk away with $1000 that night.
