Bio:

I started doing radio in '88 at my college. Later, moved to real radio - Capital FM, The Voice, Kiss FM and latest Denmarks Radio (DR P3). My early shows were a Mix of “Smooth R’n’B and Classic Soul”, but also NYC Hip-Hop. Due to that choice of Music (what else is there?), I was always scheduled late in the evening - 2, 4 hours length. Inspired by the famous radio statement “More Music, Less Talk”, I only used the microphone in the beginning of the show and before the commercials. I’ve always hated dj’s that just bla bla bla over the songs – if you ain’t got nothing to say and inform about, shut the !%”& up! I wanted to "create" a place for checking all the latest hits and instead of me talking between every record, I started collecting drops/radio ids from the artists I was playing. Why not complete the show by letting the artist talk and of course biggin’ up my name as well? In the beginning I didn’t have a socalled dj name, but later moved to “dj POWER – The Man Of The Hour”.

Some of my greatest moments in radio includes : Guru (Gangstarr) live in the studio (DR’s "Det Store Mix" Hip-Hop Mixshow together with dj TYPHOON), Scorpio (The Furious Five) and Big Hank (Sugarhill Gang) live in the studio (The Voice AfterHours), - selected by Jive Records (US) to join Blastmaster KRS 1 (BDP) at his release party in the BX, NYC 96, (check my voice on the album), - shoutouts on albums by KRS 1, Real Live, Wild Pitch Classics etc. Visiting Bobbito & Stretch Armstrong on WKCR, Mr. Cee and Mr. Magic at WQHT (HOT 97) etc.

SECOND, I'm now also trying to update my "Wall Of Fame" with original press pictures from the same artists. So I've been busy searching through my crates of old pictures and some of them will be available under the "pic" section soon. In these days, press pictures are hard to find as the labels just keep their photos digital. However, if you're a collector like me, feel free to contact me for sharing them.
