| | Influences | Our influences vary greatly among each member of the unit... be it the attitude of grunge, the engery of punk, the accessablity of main stream rock, the mood of goth, or the heavy hitting sound of "new rock" we take pieces of each aspect and add them into what we know of as "our" music and eventually end up becomeing our own biggest influence. | | Sounds Like | a scream that can not be classified as anger or sadness but holds both...
the story of a life lost and a love sealed away forever.....the sound of The Seven Sorrows | | Type of Label | Major |

| About Cycle Iconic (more info soon) |
Drop the Lowest came into existance officialy in march of 2005, although several of the band's members had been together for a little over a year.
We began as Cold Shot a project that for several reasons (mainly the lacking of a bass palyer) never got off the ground. We originally planned to be a seven piece band consisting of two vocalist, two guitars, bass drums and and extra member handleing other effects (keys, samples, turntables). In november of 2003 we began practicing, rehearsing, writing. The initial line up consisted of L and jon on vocals, Chris onad J on guitars, Justin on drums and Mike on turntables, with a still emtpy bass slot. After a few month Mike left the band for personal reasons. We continued our slow progress, working on covers writtig one or two songs. In March of the next year we added Shaftus to the line up filling our sorely missed bass requirment. This addition signified the inception of the band which we have became today
We, under our new name, played a few shows in summer of 2005, and later took some time to write more songs. Shortly after our debut however we lost yet another member. J left Drop the Lowest to concentrate on his busy school Scedule and heavy work load in november of 2005. The rest of the winter and most of the spring we spent relarning everything as a five piece. the experience has made us stronger as a whole. Only though loss is true progress experienced.
Since that time we have stregthned our musicianship and our cohesiveness as a unit and now are back to take the stage. We are now ready to harvest the fruits of our labor and the culmination of nearly three years. Our live show are energetic and emoitonal. Our original material has been recieved well and more is expected to be produced in the near future. We will be starting to work on our first CD (tentatively titiled "The Seven Sorrows")by years end and hope to have a release by early 2007.
And on a cold October night near the end of 2007, we broke up. And from the ashes of this slow implosion who knows what magnificent phoenix will rise....
