   About Drown Radio
Me Geek Pretty Available Now! Me Geek Pretty One Day, Doc Pop's debut solo album, is out now. Read more about it on DrownRadio.com!
Drown Radio Therapy has been my solo project since '94. It's gone through many phases and I've thought about coming up with different names for the different styles I do, but for now I just lump it all under Drown Radio Therapy. One constant seems to be the usage of toys. When I was sixteen I was recording songs with my guitar, a casio sk-5, and my radio shack karoake machine. Most of the stuff I've been doing in the last 6 months is entirely electronic, but based of off samples that I've created with circuit bent instruments and the like. I'm also very found of creating sample kits using unusual sounds, for instance my fave drum kit is entirely built out of Jim Henson saying the word "performance". Drown Radio will never be more than a hobby, I realized very early on I didn't have what it takes to do this for a living, so I feel free to do whatever the hell I feel like at any given time. It's just an outlet for me. That being the case, hardly anything on here will ever be mixed very well, or perfected. For the most part, this is just a place for me to upload demos of whatever sounds are going through my head. Email me any questions.

Nerdcore is music created by nerds and despite the fact that Nerdcore is surging in popularity, MySpace still does not offer it as a musical genre. Haven't nerds suffered enough already? Ask Myspace to update its genre choices and add "Nerdcore" today! How? By sending an e-mail to myspace or by re-posting this comment. ask for that weird song by that band whose name was weird and stupid and hence you forgot -surprisingly you also forgot the friggin song-but for some reason was drawn to call and request it but to be sorta kind and what some would refer to as helpful it sounds kinda like 'My Milkshake' with ring modulated Bee Gee harmonies, Oud, pandeiro, Soviet subway sounds, jug, reckless explosions and jews harp

or even better yet

The Band is....
"KREAMY 'LECTRIC SANTA"

The Tune in question is....
"Like friggin gone"
or
"Workaholics paradise lost and found"
or
"Everything...?"

Hmm as fun as it would be too watch Opera twitter about her latest battle with weight, I was hoping for some of my friends to respond, so I could hear about their latest battles with weight, and when the last time they made poo was.

Thanks for the heads up on Mr. Sockington though, that's comedy gold.

Nov 28 2008 11:39 PM

Hey Doc, I'd like to ask you some questions about putting together a decent-sized show in San Francisco. It'd be easier in person though, and I can get my interview with you for Legendary Hip Hop too. Are there any weekends that work for you in particular?
Also, all the stuff you did for the Digital Gangster LP is wonderful, good job.
