Drowse is Mike Biagiotti on vocals/guitar, Ca$h D on bass, and Nate Mulhern on guitar. The band is made up of Southern California boys, with Mike and Nate being raised in Orange Country (but nothing like “The O.C.”) and Ca$h D being from Ventura (just north of Los Angeles). All three came up in the local surf/skate/punk rock culture. All are influenced by such bands as The Pixies, The Stooges, Nirvana, The Misfits, Sonic Youth, X, Primus, The Damned and Jane’s Addiction.
Marty Witt has recently been added on drums, and brings hard hitting energy to the mix.
Drowse lives just south of Pico, in the culture of Los Angeles that is outside the glitz and glamour of Hollywood. They live and breath the actual working class world that is much more representative of the city than most people want to believe. They have a rough edge and a straightforward attitude, which is kept in balance by a keen sense of humor. This all adds up to a genuine delivery and an original style, which nods its head to its predecessors.
So grab a bottle of whiskey and relax with some Drowse.
Completed their first 6 songs EP "Corrupted by Television" (available at the shows).
Described as: 'like Soulfly if Trent Reznor were part of the band,' their debut album "There's No Profit in Truth", mixes the pent up frustration of acts such as Rage Against The Machine with the raging, highly charged riffs of classic Machine Head. Good, honest, politically aware and highly charged Metal at its best...

Marisol and Gai were on their knees, hands cupped over their ears with tears running down their faces. It was difficult to keep my eyes open, but they revealed something terrifying. The silhouettes on the horizon were moving faster, much faster. They were sprinting towards us with frightening speed. I ran to Marisol and Gai and grabbed them both by the arm—pulling them in the direction of the truck—but Marisol resisted.
I threw a pointed index finger towards the growing horde running towards us and mouthed inaudible words. Finally Marisol saw the figures coming towards us and started running back towards the truck. Rusty was firing shots into sprinting creatures on the other side of the highway before looking back towards us. Looking over my shoulder revealed the shadows were no more than half a minute behind us. The monsters no longer moaned: they screamed.
