After much deliberation, we have decided to stop doing what we were doing.
It was all a ton of fun, but sometime last summer after playing with the Ergs! (which ruled and was so much fun), we started finding it harder and harder to keep it up, and within a few months none of us really had time to be in the Drowsies anymore due to other projects, other bands, a few of us being in school, etc. Spencer, Geoff and I briefly tried to keep it going as a three-piece, but ultimately it just didn't work out. Our bad.
Maybe someday there will be a Drowsies revival; who knows; right now, though, we are all busy doing other stuff.
New Drowsy projects: Nick is still singing for the Obtruders, of course. Spencer and Geoff play in a totally rad pop punk band called The Begin-Agains. Since last summer, Spencer and I have been playing with Durham's The Future Kings of Nowhere, which is a blast. I'm in a couple of Raleigh-based hardcore bands, Devour and Decimates, which both rule. Spencer is making apocalyptic racket with a Carrboro band called Systems. Geoff and I are in the process of starting a power pop band called Antibubbles, which we are excited about.

Happy New Year! I'm really glad you made it to the show--thanks for the lyrical save. New CD is done, I'm printing physical copies and should be up on itunes soon. May all your 2009 wishes come true!
Sup sexies? I'm Jeremy. Senior at Gray's Creek, in Fayetteville NC. I'm a fuckin' amazing guy, you can ask your sister. I make it to a lot of shows, I've probably seen your favorite band live before. I suppose you could call me a scene kid of sorts. I personally hate stereotypes. That's why I play tennis and work out like a muthafucker. Putting up two hundred right now. =* You might think I'm a dumb jock or some shit like that, I'm not. I murk them AP classes, I have all my life. I'm not gonna lie though, I'm an old-school nerd at heart. Not a day goes by that I don't reference the Simpsons, RBY/GSC Pokemon or American history for some completely ridiculous reason. I'm a music man of all sorts. I listen to just as much Kanye as Green Day. I manage a group called $umthin Luhjit, and we're pretty dope, if I do say so myself. Check them out. Speaking of doing work, I spend my weekends running 9-16 hours shifts at the Carmike Market Fair 15 movie theate, by the mall. It's a great job, I love it to death. Some nights I'd rather be at work then a party. I bank pretty often, so of course I'm gee'd up from the feet up, fresh to death is a lifestyle for me. If I come off as a cocky bastard, it's because I am until you get to know me. Apologies, but it does work pretty well. I'm literally down for anything, I rarely back out of insanely stupid or dangerous plans. Usually I'm the one to make them. xD But yeah, that's about all you need to know about me to get a good idea of what I'm like. You should definitely get to know me better though, I wasn't lying about being an amazing guy. =P
