Dr Sketchy's Anti-Art School was founded by artist/model Molly Crabapple in New York. Molly started Dr. Sketchy's on the basis of fair pay for models and boozy, decadent fun for all.
Since its inception in December 2005, there are now over 40 Dr. Sketchy's around the world, in 9 countries and 4 continents, including Hollywood, London, Rome, Tokyo, and Sydney.
What is Dr Sketchy's?
We comb Seattle to find the most dazzling burlesque dancers, the most bizarre circus performers, and the most rippling of boylesque. Then we let you draw them for three hours. Interspersed with posing are ridiculous drawing contests (best left handed drawing? best incorporation of a woodland animal?) where you can win alcohol and fancy prizes.
