About me:
Dr Sketchy's is what happens when a simple question is asked- why can't figure drawing be sexy? Part art class, part cabaret, join us for 3 hours of drinking, drawing and decadence! You bring your pencils and paper and we’ll bring you the most beautiful, bizarre and outrageous models for your sketching delectation! Think burlesque dancers, drag kings and queens, circus performers and we let you draw them for a whole three hours! There will also be musical interludes and the chance to take part in ridiculous drawing contests (best left handed drawing? Best incorporation of a woodland animal?) where you can win booze or prizes. Thanks to all for coming out to the Day of the Dead show! I hope you had a bloody good time. Dr. Sketchy's is always looking for ravishing and/or fascinating people with good costumes. If you're a performer with a mailing list, even better. Send a picture and a brief bio to drsketchyvancouver@gmail.com. Contortionists, tattooed hunks, Siamese twins and burlesque dancers are encouraged to apply ! Dr.Sketchy's London pays £50, plus tips. Dr. Sketchy's Vancouver sets itself apart by supporting performers in earning a living wage while giving artists a monthly ritual of spiced up fun.
