Band Members Todd Moore hails from Beaumont, Texas but moved to Austin in 1976. He quickly learned how to hitchhike to the Armadillo World Headquarters and meet other music lovers. He enjoyed jamming on his guitar with other musicians who also liked rock music. He formed his first band in 1977 called The Jimmies. He played with many other bands whose gigs included Liberty Lunch, The Back Room, Steamboat and The Oasis. Other bands he played with in his early years in Austin were UXB and Blind Rhino. Todd attended and graduated The University of Texas with a BS degree in Radio, Television and Film. In 1979, Todd Moved to San Francisco to pursue a master’s degree at San Francisco State University. Here he joined The Judy Bloom. This band performed in Austin and Houston as well as the San Francisco Bay Area. They also received airplay on a song which appeared on the LP, ACME – The Bay Area’s Best Unsigned Bands. Todd recorded a CD in his home studio entitled, Dogmor. This CD of Todd’s original music was recorded and mixed by Neil Sedaka’s sound engineer, Dan Crowe. Dogmor at one time featured Paul Hood of the Toiling Midgets on bass. Todd also played bass and sang with bay area singer/songwriter Laura Chandler. He later formed Flytrap. Among other songs, Flytrap’s song Little Fly received some airplay on California radio. Flytrap was invited to play a live show on Berkeley radio station, KALX in 1997. In 1999, Todd moved to Austin and immediately formed The Freebooters, a folk and blues band. In 2001 C. Rex, and original rock and country rock band was formed. During this period, Todd also sang and played guitar with Jean Caffeine. In 2003, Todd met and began to play with drummer, Wayne Steagall. Todd searched for the right musicians to form original rock band, Dr. Todd. The band currently features Wayne Steagall on drums and vocals, Ken Huncovsky on bass and vocals, and Todd Moore on guitar and vocals. Dr. Todd recorded four songs for the upcoming movie, “Z – A Zombie Musical.” Dr. Todd has also released an EP CD self titled “Dr. Todd.” The CD was recorded at the renowned Fire Station Studio’s in San Marcos, Texas. Guests on the CD include Maryann Price on vocals and percussion and the late Harry Kleintank on flutes and saxophones. Another project has been formed called Baby Anacondas.
