I was nicknamed droopy, at around the age of 2 by my momma, for my inability to stay awake if I was in one place for a few moments.. By the time high school came the nickname never left, so I changed the spelling and pronunciation.
I'm a nerd, with the swagger of a pimp, mind of a gent. I'm a hustler, when it's time to pay rent. My grandma is Laura Marks (Ambrose), on my dad's side. So if you got that last name stop perving you might be my cuzzin.. I represent for my natives in the interior. Putting T A L on the map, flowing so fluid you forgot I was Yukon.. Down right fierce like hyduken.
I grew up in those small Alaskan villages getting turned down by them fine Alaskan women. They called me a pervert, until little Droopy grew up and they couldn't help but perv themselves. I'm good with the books, nice on track, running for EWU (D1).. I Mac, but I prefer PC's.. 2 years ago it was who's he, now everybody gathers around to hear Dru-P!! Got groupies, but I pass them to the stunt double. Grew up watching the greatest from Mike Tyson to Mike Jordan to Jackson.. It's obvious that Dru-P gets it cracking.
When I was going through depression I was too blind to see, there's a million P@*!@'s but there's only one Me!!, used to say "Gotta thank the past cuz' the present is a gift." I grew up in the past, constantly getting dissed. Now it's "Relationships are never a threat, cuz' I'll erase the history and act like we never met." I make that music with C-Lay cuz' he's Fam, we just clown, ain't even trying.. Met him when I used to walk pidgeon toed, in the glow zone. When the storm tried to take me, C-Lay saved me. Reminded me that I was dope, "I ain't here cuz' I fell down, I'm here cuz' I got up!!" That's Dedication, Dedication is my heart, you can't take it from me!!
With music I write, I love to write.. I think music is a feeling, an expression.. We make that mood music, I know alot of you ain't used to it. I'm a beast on the beats.. I'm on Interior Records, but I've produced for Atlantic, Universal, and a bunch of smaller labels. You might see me in some movies, trying to get my act on..
