About me:
Slyce started djing by picking up thrown away turntables off the street many years ago. At age 12 he was picking up scratch techniques and got his first taste of the battle scene at 16 in the New Music Seminar NYC in 1989.
At the same time he started playing piano and picking up songwriting and production techniques. In 1997 he entered his first USA DMC competition and took it hands down with routines that are still refered to even today.
With many DVD's,youtube, and a recent 2008 DMC World Vice Championship he is known around the world as a beat juggling pioneer on the turntables. After retiring in 1999, he came back and rose all the way to 2nd place in the Worlds Final on the first try, showing that the battle scene got a much needed lesson from a former champion.
He rocketed his production career forward with an accomplished production company that spread production workparts throughout the world in broadcast radio.
While many DJ's cannot play music, much less move out of one genre of music, his versatile skills graced many CBS Sports TV shows and McDonalds radio commercials. He thrives on composing any type of music needed. Whether its TV themes or artists, Slyce will make any show or commercial sound its best with quality and innovative music.
Slyce is a resident dj of "The Opie and Anthony Show" in NYC on 92.3 KROCK FM, affiliate stations, and Sirius/XM Satellite radio. His DJ and productions and dj skills and ideas can be heard there on a regular basis and has still yet to be rivaled on any US radio or TV show.
A Dj-Battle killer, partyrocker, scratch music intimidator and production pioneer- Slyce covers every area of his art in great variety. He offers a great variety of styles, be it dance, house, electro, trance, drum and bass, breakbeat, old soul, and rock. This "head nod" enthusiast and current champion will bring a great show and excitement to anything you can throw at him.
