WHAT IS THE BATTLE OF THE BANDS?
Battle of the Bands is an event produced by The American Arts and Heritage Foundation Inc., a 501 (c) 3 organization. Battle of the Bands sets a stage for local area high marching bands to perform and compete for bragging rights as the city’s best marching band.
Marching bands take to the field to demonstrate their precision, crafted dance steps, and over the top renditions of music from past and present.
As an added bonus, we invite some of the country’s top college bands to perform and wow the audience and high school marching bands a like.
WHO ATTENDS THE BATTLE OF THE BANDS
Since Battle of the Bands is held on Sunday evenings, we have the opportunity to entertain the entire family. We are extremely proud of our audience composition, which ranges from grandkids to grandparents, church groups, aspiring band members, families and friends.
WHY IS THE BATTLE OF THE BANDS A WIN-WIN SITUATION?
Although Battle of the Bands is designed to entertain, its underlying purpose is far greater. For each band’s participation in Battle of the Bands, the The American Arts and Heritage Foundation, Inc. will offer a cash donation. In the past, the donations have been used to help purchase musical instruments and band supplies, provide scholarships, and to pay for other school necessities.
