Grupa DRUM’N’ZEZ nastala je 1997. u Novom Sadu. Samo ime grupe je veoma deskriptivno i ukazuje na to da se muzika koju su stvarali tada zasnivala na mnogo udaraljki (ponekad i šerpi) koje su bile propracene raznim sitnim i smešnim instrumentima (frule, drombulje, pištaljke itd.). Tada je to potpuno odgovaralo vremenu u kom su živeli a i njihovim godinama. Omiljeni ambijenti za sviranje bile su im obale Dunava i Fruška Gora. Iz tog vremena ostao je njihov prvi studijski album koji na žalost nije doživeo ''svetlost izdavaca''. Kako je vreme prolazilo clanovi su se cesto menjali, a njihov broj uvecavao (kao i broj slušalaca). Negde pocetkom 2005. godine, posle malog zatišja, u potpuno novom sastavu (odnosno sa novim instrumentarijom), grupa snima svoj drugi album ''Iz slane vode'', za koji su vec od samog starta osetili da je od onih što ''osvajaju svet'' .
Album je izdat tek u martu 2007. za Studentski Kulturni Centar, Novi Sad.
U jednom trenutku grupa shvata da je vreme da podeli svoja muzicka istraživanja sa vecim brojem ljudi, te slede mnogobrojni nastupi širom Vojvodine i u Beogradu. U masi nastupa izdvajaju se svakako oni na festivalima ''Leto na Štrandu 2005.'' zatim ''Bitola open city 2005.'' (Makedonija) ''Art Expo 2006.'' Novi Sad, ''Festival ulicnih sviraca 2006'', Novi Sad i naravno ''EXIT 06''i ''EXIT 07'' (Balkan fusion stage)''Seasplash'' 2007. u Puli (Hrvatska), ''Trenchtown'' u Subotici 2007.
U martu 2008 ucestvovali na festivalu 'Beovizija' a pored dobrog prijema publike dobili i nagradu za 'najbolje debitante' i imali zapazen nastup na world music stage-u na EXIT-u 2008.
Svoj treci album 'Dunava ukus' izdaju u avgustu 2008. za PGP-RTS.
Njihovu muziku cini fuzija mnogih stilova od kojih su najprimetniji:
reggae, pop, ska, dub, rock, surf, world music, a nade se i po koji etno ton iz njihovog okruženja. Kažu za sebe da su osnivaci novih pravaca AGRO-REGGAE-a i PANONSKOG SURF-POP-a. Sve u svemu, imaju recept za srecu i uživanciju – ZEZ.

The band DRUM’N’ZEZ was founded in 1997 in Novi Sad, Serbia. It started with gathering of bunch of open-minded young people who were in search for something new in their lives, especially in music. At the beginning that music was based on lot of percussions followed by small and funny instruments which is nicely described in the band’s name (ZEZ means a little joke). They used to play on the banks of the river Danube and on the nearby hills. At that time they have recorded one album (their first one) but, unfortunately, it wasn’t published. As the time passed, members and their number were changing. Along with that, the number of their fans was also increasing. When the band started to realize the importance of their work for the society in which they lived and performed, they decided to share their musical discoveries with more people by traveling throughout Vojvodina and Serbia. Beside many concerts in clubs of Novi Sad and Belgrade their real quality could be seen on festivals like “Bitola – open city 2005” Macedonia, “Art Expo 2006.Novi Sad”,”Trenchtown” Subotica 2007, “Seasplash 2007” Pula, Croatia and indeed “EXIT 06”and “EXIT 07” (balkan fusion stage) Novi Sad. They released their second album in march 2007 for SKC, Novi Sad which is totally diferent from the previous, and has totally diferent instruments included It is the fusion of many music styles and influences but mostly reggae, world music, dub, pop and even some ethno sounds from their surroundings. After that (march 2008) they took part in Serbian contest for the Eurovision called Beovizija with their hit-single Dunav and made a great success which introduced themselves to a wider audience. Logical progress was made when the biggest national label PGP invited them for publishing their newest release “Dunava ukus” with 15 new songs. It was finished in august 2008. Nowdays they are promoting it throughout the whole region proudly presenting the newest self-invented musical genre “panonnian surf-pop”. Some ska moments and funny lyrics make their gigs very cheerful and interactive.
All in all, they have the recipe for joy and love…
