RJ now resides and plays in the Denver Metro area with numerous bands where he brings his personal and professional style to the many bands he works with. .RJ possesses a wide musical range on the drums and is fluent in Blues, Latin, Reggae, R&B, Jazz and many other genres of music. His flair, feeling and ear for music have brought life to each song as he adds his embellishments and spice to every piece he plays.
With 25+ years behind him playing the drums RJ is the glue that locks the band together. He makes himself and any bassist seem to be one entity…as it should! RJ gladly brings his melodic style to Denver band stands. Though RJ likes to solo, as it gives him a chance to show his wares, it really fills his cup when the “team player” in him shines the brightest. After all…the true “lock” is what the rhythm section is really all about. Syncopation is just one of his fortes. The more intricate beats of Latin music and Reggae flow from him with ease. The many time signatures engulfing Jazz allows RJ to really display his talents. The ability to delve into the very bowels of each genre is what RJ does best! He truly loves the separation of styles and the way he can express himself so authentically. Even the biggest critic is more than pleased with what comes off that stage! This is a true pro in every sense of the word. His experience includes; sound, recording, writing and arranging. His latest endeavor included touring the West Coast with Hamilton Loomis. A thunderous backbone that creates and maintains a steadfast “pocket” is the very foundation of what RJ brings to the table… and he brings it every step of the way!

Will do! I'm totally hooked. had a blast on my virgin jam! Nursing some dental work right now...not sure if I'll be out on Wed...but I'll definitely be out and about soon. Working on lots of stuff. Hard, challenging, but fun. See ya soon...
