Jeff began playing the drums at the age of eight. Jeff is the son of a southern baptist Minister of Music and that is where his love of music comes from. Raised on contemporary christian music he was influenced by groups like the Imperials and Petra.
Jeff studied music from the 5th grade through his senior year and was first chair drummer most of those years. The biggest exception to this is when he was invited to join the Varsity band as a freshman. By his sophomore year he was playing snare with the seniors, and got that chair back as a junior. At 19 Jeff began working in professional and some not so professional bands. His ability to fall right in to whatever music he was playing garnered him a great deal of respect from the local musicians. Jeff became a regular fill-in player and fulltime drummer for acts like The Teagues and Sweat. Jeff quickly moved into the upper levels of performance in and around the mid south region of the country.
Now in Phoenix, Jeff has played with only a few artist. But notable ones. Radio Free America has been his main act for the last ten years. Voted best Industrial band twice by the readers of The New Times, RFA released two albums and played a number of shows around the valley. Jeff is currently the drummer Nick Nicholson and the Let it Ride Band.
It's a contemporary country act performing both originals and covers. Nick has just released his first single to radio called Somethin' somethin'. The band has fairly full schedule and is pursuing the bigger better deal. Call KMLE and KNIX and ask for Somethin Somethin by Nick Nicholson.
Jeff is also an obsessed student of his instrument. He is currently studying with David Small. A local legend. Jeff and Dave have some similar history in Arkansas and this has made for some interesting conversations regarding people they both know, even though their paths never crossed at that time. Jeff also studied with Billy Ashbaugh in Orlando Fl. Billy was the touring drummer for N'Sync for four years. Monster player and all around stand up guy. There have been others, but these are the most notable.

Hows it going? Just letting everyone know what I have going
on and if you have any suggestions! As many of you know I am recording
this years Christmas Cd "Winter Dream
Vol.II" In case you don't know the Winter Dream Cd's are dedicated to
my father who was killed by a drunk driver Back in 2006. The guy who
caused the accident had TWO other EXTREME D.U.I's this one resulting in
a death and another person seriously injured! Yet the Drunk driver ONLY
received 4 years in prison and $1000 restitution! Like always I try to
pull the positive out of a negative situation, which is where my
Christmas Cd's come in!! The Winter Dream Cd's will come in 7 volumes
(7th volume being a best of) each Cd cover will be part of a puzzle,
resulting in one main picture when all Cd's are put together! Part of
the proceeds will go to M.A.D.D..... This years Cd will be promoted
with my new on-line Music School called Musia Institute (MusiaInstitute.com).
When you buy Winter Dream Vol. II you will also receive a months worth
of free guitar lessons @ Musia Institute! So my main goal for Winter
Dream Vol. II is to have as many retail stores caring my Cd,
encouraging friends and students to buy Winter Dream Vol. II as
