Drunken Banshees was formed at the tail end of 2007 began writing songs with a Celtic Punk feel but slowly found the niche in the world music scene playing punk with influences coming from such bands as Pennywise, Lifetime, Bad Religion, Fenix TX, and Strike Anywhere.
In the short time they have been together, the band has toured South Africa and Zambia as well as playing shows up and down the east coast. They have shared the stage with bands such as Westbound Train, Off With Their Heads, The Copyrights, and The Menzingers.
The band has appeared on Skratch Magazine's Vol. 38 compilation as well as putting out two EPs, "One More Round, Sire?" and "The Clean Side of Dirt." The band will be hitting the studio again this fall.
