In the autumn of 2004 DrunkenWerewolf became perplexed by the general populations inability to listen to decent music and, while writing for fellow pioneers Bored Youth, Wears the Trousers and Don't Worry About the Government, decided something altogether more drastic should be done.
9 months later, with one God awful howl she gave birth to a blog. The blog baby steadily grew into toddler shape, spending its time making paper mache dolls out of popular music magazines and stuffing the remaining paste into her Mother's hard drive. After just a few months of significantly loud roaring and household hysteria the blog baby metamorphosized into an ugly looking fanzine kid.
The fanzine kid rears her head bimonthly and champions undiscovered and importantly unusual acts, all tainted by the alternative, experimental and folk wand. She likes to cover musicians who strive towards a future sound, instead of regurgitating the past. Her Mother makes her strictly D.I.Y. and her pocket money won't cover contributions, but she does offer advertisment space and free copies to anyone who can help. For details of this you should email drunkenwerewolf [at] hotmail [dot] co [dot] uk because DrunkenWerewolf's Mother is better at responding from there.

The issue includes an interview with folk band Mumford & Sons in celebration of their recent debut Sigh No More, and fellow rising stars Cherbourg. We've also caught up with Cardiff's The Victorian English Gentlemens Club, who have recently released second album Love On An Oil Rig, and Brighton's Esben & the Witch. As an extension of Issue 8's AUS101 synopsis, we've interview Sydney's Cuthbert & the Night Walkers, and continued the column with IRE101, an exploration into the Irish music scene, and NM101, an exploration into the New Mexican music scene. In addition to all of this, we have a face-off with The Ethical Debating Society and An Axe, and Emily Stern talks to Venus Bogardus' Hannah Levbarg about her involvement in various feminist projects.
