DRV, (the name taken from the lead singer's name, Daphne Rubin Vega) is an NY-based band, their sound ranging from rock to pop. They've played at several venues; some of the more recent ones including Joe's Pub, The Cutting Room, and Irving Plaza (all in New York City).
Daphne Rubin-Vega, (hence; DRV) is an accomplished singer and actress. She has starred in several musicals and plays both on and off-Broadway, and has been in many films. She has been nominated for the Tony award twice, once for her role as Mimi Marquez in Jonathan Larson's 'RENT' in 1996, and most recently for her role in Nilo Cruz's 'Anna in the Tropics' in 2004.
