(BIO:INGLISH Y ESPAÑOL)=Hi I’m D’Sanz..Daniel Sanz Rodriguez i was born in Seville but grew up in Tenerife, a part of the Canary Islands. I’ve been writing songs since before I can remember. When I was little, my brother and I sang the songs and melodies I invented for fun. Friends sang them too. The best part was that they couldn’t stop singing them. The songs were so simple and funny that everyone remembered them right away. At the time I didn’t realize I was developing a skill or what the future had in store for me. By the age of 14, I was already working doing all kinds of odd jobs but I never stopped singing or writing music. I started to teach myself how to dance and by 17, I was making my living as a street dancer.
In 1999 I came to Helsinki to visit some Finnish friends I met while they were on vacation in the Canaries. The Finnish group Waldo’s People was holding dancing auditions for their new video “U drive me crazy” so I decided to try out. I was lucky and got the job. From there I started teaching dance at several schools in Helsinki. I met some great local musicians and singers and even got into the semi-finals for the Finnish Eurovision singing with Aleksi Sariola and Charles Salter.
After Eurovision I toured with a Finnish rock cover band called Grubalistic under the artist name Daniel de Vega. At the same time I was singing and dancing with a group called Soul Calibre. It seems destiny took me to Porvoo to teach dance at a school called Children’s World, because it was there I met my producer Douglas Pashley. Douglas was working for Warner Music as a producer and writer. We made a few demos and were looking for a deal when I got the chance to be featured on a single called “Plastic Fantastic” with the Primitive Sound System. Douglas and I lost touch for awhile because I returned to Spain after the release of the single. While I was there I decided to try out for the Spanish Idols 2005 and was really amazed when I got in.
The Idols was a great experience and I’m really thankful to all the cast and staff. I remember I was writing a new song thinking about what to do next when the final piece of the puzzle came to mind. I called Douglas Pashley and asked if he would be interested in working with me again. Douglas had just formed a new label called Van Gogh Records and said the timing was perfect, so I packed my bags and headed back to Finland where we created my debut album ”Libre” with a fantastic group of professionals like Douglas, Niklas Nylund and Osmo Ikonen. The first single released from the album is “La veré manana”. The video was shot in Tenerife and was directed by Aaron J Melian.

Biografía
D’Sanz, cuyo nombre completo es Daniel Sanz Rodríguez, nació en Sevilla el 23 de diciembre de 1977 pero creció en Tenerife, una de las 7 Islas Canarias. Ha estado escribiendo canciones desde que tiene memoria. Cuando era peque, su hermano y él cantaban las canciones y melodías que inventada como diversión. Las canciones eran tan simples y divertidas que todo el mundo las recordaba en seguida. En aquel tiempo no se daba cuenta de que estaba desarrollando una habilidad para lo que le depararía el futuro. A la edad de 14 años, ya estaba haciendo toda clase de trabajos curiosos pero nunca paró de cantar y escribir música. Empezó a aprender a bailar él solo y a los 17 ya estaba haciendo su vida como bailarín callejero.
En 1999 se fue a Helsinki, Finlandia, a visitar a unos amigos finlandeses que conoció mientras estaban de vacaciones en Canarias. El grupo finlandés Waldo’s People estaba haciendo un casting para encontrar bailarines para su nuevo video clip “U Drive Me Crazy” así que decidió presentarse. Tuvo suerte y consiguió el trabajo. Desde entonces empezó a trabajar como profesor de baile en varias academias de Helsinki. Conoció a algunos buenos músicos y cantantes de la ciudad y formó un grupo con dos de ellos, Aleksi Sariola y Charles Salter, al que llamaron “In Tha Mix”. Con este grupo consiguió llegar a las semifinales para representar a Finlandia en el festival de Eurovisión.
Después de lo de Eurovisión, pasó a formar parte de un grupo de rock llamado Grubalistic bajo el nombre artístico de Daniel de Vega, con el que estuvo actuando en diferentes ciudades y pueblos versionando temas ya conocidos. Al mismo tiempo cantaba y bailaba con otro grupo llamado Soul Calibre.
Parece que el destino le llevo hasta Porvoo para enseñar baile en una escuela llamada Children’s World, porque fue ahí donde conoció a su productor Douglas Pashley, quien estaba trabajando para Warner Music como productor y compositor. Juntos hicieron unos cuantos demos y estuvieron buscando una oportunidad pero en aquella época no cuajo nada, cuando tuvo la oportunidad de participar en un single llamado “Plastic Fantastic” con el grupo canario Primitive Sound Sistem. Douglas y D’Sanz perdieron el contacto por un tiempo porque regresó a España después del lanzamiento del single. Entonces decidió presentarse a los castings de la edición número 4 de Operación Triunfo en 2005 donde resultó seleccionado para ser uno de los integrantes de aquella edición.
El concurso fue una gran experiencia y está muy agradecido a todo el equipo del programa.
Estaba escribiendo una nueva canción pensando en qué es lo siguiente que haría cuando la última pieza del rompe cabezas vino a su mente. Llamó a Douglas Pashley y le preguntó si estaría interesado en trabajar con él de nuevo. Douglas acababa de crear un nuevo sello discográfico llamado Van Gogh Records y dijo que era el momento adecuado para hacer algo importante juntos, así que hizo las maletas y volvió a Finlandia donde crearon su álbum debut “Libre” con un fantástico grupo de profesionales como Douglas, Niklas Nylund y Osmo Ikonen. El primer single extraído del álbum es “La Veré Mañana”

"GIRA PEGADOS 2008" EN TENERIFE 16 DE AGOSTO El grupo grancanario EL BAR DE MOU ofrecerá un concierto en la isla de Tenerife dentro de la gira "PEGADOS 2008" que comenzó el 4 de enero y les ha llevado por todas las islas del archipiélago canario. En poco mas de 5 meses han podido ofrecer a su publico lo mejor de su música en mas de cuarenta conciertos, están considerados como uno de los grupos con mas proyección de Gran Canaria y durante el 2008 se proponen dar mas de 100 CONCIERTOS.
