Hip Hop stole Spliff away from the rest of the world
when he was 6 and started noticing graffiti.
D Spliff has been rockin turntables since he was
12, after he tried immitating the opening skratch
of De La Soul's "Saturday", and nailed it perfectly.
That's right; when you were stealing candy and
thowing eggs out of your window, this fool was
locked in his room working on masterpieces. His
first mixtapes were out in 1993, with the first two
series Basement Mix 1, 2, 3 and 4 and Masterpiece
1, 2, 3 and 4.
He started promoting parties when he was 18, but
then fell off the map when he started dating a
psycho control freak. During this time, he spent
many hours locked in his room working on skratches
and getting high. I believe he also woke up
underneath a car near S.O.B.'s one time after
drinking a 750mL Bombay Saphire to the bottom.
Somewhere nearafter that, he tripped on some
papers and finally realized what the fuck was up.
D Spliff made his first DMC appearence in 1999. He
made it to the second round, and that was that.
Little did he know how political the whole thing
was....he got to the point where he would just get
up and skratch for 5 minutes because he didn't want
to juggle Missy and Timbo beats for 5 minutes. (Yeah,
I said it....)
After outgrowing the egotistical desires of winning
a worldwide battle, he began to work on his record
collection again. This time, fed up with the
commercialization, Americanizing and mainstreaming
of his roots, he only focused on the underground
and independent scene. Spliff also began recording
on a computer using multi-tracking software. After
about 10 years of dreaming about what he could do
with a system of that calliber, he finally has all he
needs to live out what his neural networks have been
working on behind the scenes.
I have alot of stuff that you could scratch over....posted 6 new tracks....and....here is my website where I upload all my stuff....so check out what you can work with, and get back at me.
