a placid, quiet lake.
Its fragile wings are spread apart,
how gracious its mistake -
To glide across the iced, still pool
that never holds a wave
And float forever stagnantly
upon its staidness saved.
The beauty and the calmness there,
within this ideal dream,
Rests forever, kept within,
the sameness of its stream.
Its safety then depends upon,
the stillness of the air,
The maintenance of its attitude,
the caution in its stare.
Its wings are kept within,
the borders of their bounds,
Never then to fly away,
escape this earth it found.
It's forever but, a piece of glass
gathered by some eye,
Ever but, my devoted bird,
sensitive and shy,
Kept away from danger's knock,
and every turning sea,
Resting like a song's sad note,
part of my menagerie!

If no one is harmed by your action (either physically,
emotionally or spiritually), then do as you Will to do in
Life in accordance with your Higher Self.
Seek your identity and your purpose.
When someone does something good for you, then repay the
kindness by doing something good for another person so
that the seed that was planted will bear fruit.
Keep your word and your oaths, when you give them.
Do not kill anything, except when food or protection
are required.
Acknowledge and give due reverence to your gods, observing
all of the sacred times and festivals.
Belittle no ones beliefs, but simply offer what it is that
you belive is true.
Strive to be aware of those around you and seek compassion
within yourself.
Be true to your own understanding and strive to turn away
from what is opposed within you.
Help others according to their need and according to your
ability to give of yourself.
Respect Nature and Strive to live in Harmony with Her.

when life is stressful
find your inner peace
when you feel discouraged
have hope
combine the two
and serenity will envelope you

A WOODLAND CHRISTMAS
An icy frieze on drifts of snow
Decorates a dreary day --
Tiny vortexes of wind
Scamper over hills in play.
Sullen, leaden clouds, engorged
With moisture, hover --
Another downy blanket tucks
The woodland under cover.
An eldritch fairyland appears,
With crenellated drifts --
And, slowly, through the cloudbanks,
Some feeble sunlight sifts...
Partridge, quail and rabbit stir
And gambol here and there.
Nature breathes a blessing
On the bracing, wintry air.

The streets have gone to silence,
Even the poor has laid their heads to rest.
Tonight Santa remembers all,
Each year he’s put to test.
The list get larger every year,
No one wishes for peace and love,
No one takes the time to remember,
We celebrate Baby Jesus birthday up above.
How many think of our loved ones away,
Who give their all for us this day,
The hungry who are homeless and alone,
With no food and no place to call home.
No comfy pillow, no blanket to hug,
Just an old dampened box, and no one to love.
The beauty we see on the streets every year,
The lights and the soft glow glitter we share.

Blessings of Life
~
I have seen the spotted ponies
Run' cross miles of open plains.
I have heard the Rainmaker
Sing for the thunder and rain.
I have danced with kachinas
deep within my dreams.
I have walked the Golden Earth,
Reaching for sunbeams.
The Ancestors speak to me,
Their spirits on the wind,
Reminding me to be grateful
For the blessings Creator sends,
With beauty all around me,
My heart is full of praise,
For I have seen wonders
Of the Earth Mother's ways.
Each sunrise is a blessing,
My shelter, the open sky.
Earth Mother fills my heart,
Until like eagle----I fly.

~The Perfect Woman~ Would be a woman whose uniqueness would emanate a magnetism. She would be mentally lustful for life and knowledge. She would be physically passionate, spiritually whole and centered. She would equate gentleness and kindness with strength. She would have laughter and truth woven throughout each day. She would possess an energy that would not accept the "can’t" of circumstances, would change what she could and accept what she could not. She would build with concrete that which was real to her... no games, no untruths. She would understand that mental chemistry is as important as physical and would not settle for less. She would be insane and brilliant, with a small part of her that never graduated childhood. Her appearance would be both beautiful and plain, and nature and age would not make a difference.
