"A woman's heart should be so hidden in Christ that a man should have to seek Him first to find her." When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not shouting "I'm clean livin'" I'm whispering "I was lost, Now I'm found and forgiven." When I say... "I am a Christian" I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide. When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on. When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess. When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not claiming to be perfect, My flaws are far too visible but, God believes I am worth it. When I say... "I am a Christian" I still feel the sting of pain.. I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name. When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not holier than thou, I'm just a simple sinner Who received God's good grace, somehow! ~ Maya Angelo

Who I'd like to meet:

GOD - Psalms 130:1 "Out of the depths I have cried to Thee, O LORD. " Those that want to meet with the Lord have been touched by God in the past. This experience has been impressed on them and helps serve them as to what we can expect from God in the future. We know from our past experience of salvation that He can help us despite our difficult situations. Salvation will always stand out as the greatest work God has done for us.

Get right...Get God!

MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. I suggest that we may be overlooking an important fact when we think about King. He was the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., a minister, son and grandson of preachers. We don't talk much about the role faith plays in anyone's life. But religion is part of the story when it affects people's actions. It was his belief in God and his study of the scriptures that educated, nurtured and comforted King. His wasn't a blind, emotional adherence to what he was taught. He questioned doctrine and welcomed the influence of other faiths as he armed himself with a sense of justice rooted in morality and ethics. His beliefs compelled him to wrestle with the shortcomings of society, even as he confronted his own failings.

MAHATMA GANDHI "I know the path. It is straight and narrow. It is like the edge of a sword. I rejoice to walk on it. I weep when I slip. God's word is: 'He who strives never perishes.' I have implicit faith in that promise. Though, therefore, from my weakness I fail a thousand times, I will not lose faith, but hope that I shall see the Light when the flesh has been brought under perfect subjection, as some day it must"....The weak can never forgive.
Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong......

ABRAHAM LINCOLN - He was a humane, farsighted statesmen for his time. One of the greatest presidents of the United States. He persuaded the people with reasoned word and thoughtful deed to look to him for leadership........

DALAI LAMA- Pure curiosity......

Thinking of you,Sunshine. Be well soon.

As per a reply made in my most current blog, I suppose a little background information is in order. I hope it all fits in one comment but just in case, I apologize in advance if it takes up mega space on your profile page. This was sent recently, from a very dear friend of mine in California who is currently fighting breast cancer. Here she is fighting for her life and she was thinking of me. That stabs my heart with gratitude and awe. So it is with a grateful heart, I pay it forward. I wanted to somehow rewrite it for all my beloved friends in Calligraphy, which I am very rusty at as it has been years since I have even practiced, so instead I'm hand delivering (via profile pages) this message to you, and others.
It won't have the effect I was going for because I'm mass producing it and I'm not really into that sort of impersonal correspondence which is ew' I know but hey, I'm a busy girl these days. Lots of packing and boxing and did I mention packing? So, it is what it will be. I need to send it to everyone I love but consequently unfortunately, it won't effectively make anyone feel as special as they unquestionably are to me. Please know my intent is pure.

    We all deserve the best...

    it's time

maybe it's time to take care of yourself.
maybe it's time to scream out loud
that you don't have the answers
and you just plain can't figure out what it's all about...
but you're in this for the full ride.
    maybe it's time.
maybe it's time to stop doin' the half ride.
maybe it's time to step into it all.
    to weep your guts out.
to hurt all the way to your core.
to allow the hurt to be there.
maybe it's time to embrace the love
and believe in it even tho it's not always perfect...
    but it is always right.
maybe it's time to shout out to your depths that you do matter
and you will do all in your power to live healthy.
maybe it's time to stop just getting thru,
    just surviving.
maybe it's time to grab the gift you've been given.
and celebrate every piece of it -
including the pain that brought you here.
    maybe it's time.
    forget the maybe...and know it...
    it is time.

It was horrendous!!  34 years of problems brought into question with all of it put on my doorstep because I lacked the "want to" to be as harsh, judgmental, and mean as he was (not that I couldn't and didn't have full right to be, just that I didn't---because I believe that I'm a better person than that).

    Basically,

    I was crucified.

Yup, same old Monday stuff, except I've checked in here several times today and didn't see your comment.

    Dang Tom!

Headed into (divorce) depositions on Wednesday, so I'm mildly stressed. Also, got four term papers needing research and writing.

Other than my normal level of snowed under, I'm doing great.

    xoxo

You missed the harvest yestarday.  PLanet Jeff and Lady Anita helped out.  It was a perfect day.  Next up is more winemaking and then the harvest of the Cab Franc.   The fun will last at least 3 more weeks.

You would have loved it.  78 degrees, full sun, fall colors, good friends, good eats, and all the rest.

Hi Denise.  Hope your November is off to an excellent start.
  • Nov 2 2009 4:14 PM

Dolls are a global scare totem.  The subconscious seems to fear them becoming animated.  Me, I'm more worried about my fellow non-dolls.
