What I often think of when watching or reading the great beat poets of America, the writers who inspired the likes of John Lennon and Bob Dylan, is that if they were to exist now they would never be able to freely express themselves because people would hear a few buzz words and drown out the complex points that poets like Burroughs and Bukowski were making. How much we have lost in the errant righteousness of "political correctness."
