Mr. Trumpet Man

About me:

As you can probably see, I am a musician. I have been playing trumpet for over 20 years. I have a wide range of musical experience. I have played classical, jazz, salsa and even old civil war music. My experince includes playing for Christian Artists like Puchi Colon, Jose Pabo Rivera, Wanda Rivera, Rubin Felix y la Orquesta Xariz and Carmen Sanabria. I have also played lead trumpet for the Rowan university Jazz band with Denis Diblasio, Rowan University wind ensemble, principle trumpet in the Rowan University Orschestra, solo Eb cornet for the 28th Regimental brass band and also solo cornet for the Atlantic brass band. Some of my musical inspirations have been Phil Driscoll, Maynard Ferguson "The Boss" and Arturo Sandoval. I have had the pleasure of meeting all three. I graduated Rowan University in 2004 with a degree in music. The highlight of my career was when I had the opportunity to play and record Danny Boy for Maynard himself back in 2000. I will never forget that day. I am currently the trumpet player and Musical director for Rock of Salvation Church. The biggest honor I have is being able to play for God. I have been through a lot and I can always depend on him. One person who has always encouraged me and pushed for me to finish school was my lovely wife. She has truly been an inspiration to me and a great source of encouragement. She is my backbone. I am currently working on a couple of Gospel solos and hope to be able to play them real soon. I cannot forget my two little boys, Mikey and Daniel. They are my life. Watch out because I think that Dan Jr. will be following in Dad's footsteps.
