AL DUVALL: RECLUSES UNITE DOKAKA : HUMAN INTERFACE(2009): CD. (Available very soon pre orders welcome)

Dokaka, is a one manned voice, no effect, no auto-tune, no edit, no sampling, DIY human synthesizer. Most will remember him as the Japanese beatboxer whose vocal only reinterpretations of Led Zeppelin, Slayer, the Rolling Stones, and many others gained cult status when his mp3’s went viral. The sensation was enough to attract the attention of Björk who incorporated his unusual skill into her 2004 Medúlla album. Now in 2009 Dokaka has recorded his first album of original material ‘HUMAN INTERFACE’ which is now available for the first time outside of Japan courtesy of cultural maverick imprint dualpLOVER. The album includes 17 hours of vocal insanity multi-tracked into 88 muttered micro tracks.

Dokaka’s style is unlike that of the hip hop beatboxers, firstly he’s not really a beatboxer as he multitracks his vocals sometimes with as many as 20 passes per song. However the most important distinction is Dokaka’s intent. Without a Hip Hop background he first started vocally mimicking music while humming along to his television as a child and by the age of six was making tapes of his efforts. These childhood skills almost went unnoticed until he starting playing drums with bands as a teenager. During one practice after the bass player failed to show up, Dokaka filled in by humming the bassline. The singer was so taken with his vocal ability he encouraged him to record which lead onto his mp3’s / Björk and now this album.

AL DUVALL: RECLUSES UNITE Rice ?Corpse : Mrs Rice (2009): CD. (available april pre orders welcome)

What kind of government would send a lunatic artist, whose idea of self expression is smashing amplified glass against his face, off to China to become a cultural ambassador? Australia the lucky country of coarse! That's exactly what happened to Lucas Abela (Justice Yeldham) and this album, Mrs Rice is it's result. With under two months in Beijing he formed the pick up band Rice Corpse, (named after the Chinese character for shit, which itself is the combination of the two characters for corpse and rice), jammed with them four times (two off which were recorded for this album) before heading off for a ten city tour of China.

A Trio of glass, drums and piano was in Lucas's minds ear when he arrived and two completely different musicians came forward to form this unlikely band. First to be recruited for drums was Yang Yang whose antics in his own band Mafeisan has given him the reputation of being the craziest exponent of the normally conservative Beijing scene. His ultra loud out and proud personality is in stark contrast to the mild mannered and brutally shy saxophonist Li Zenghui who came to the project as pianist, cause simply put there were no suitable pianists in the city.

Existing for a limited time and without a common language to interrupt they managed to create these six varied and strangely focused improvisations. This despondent attempt at musicality is by far Abela's most accessible work to date as the addition of Yang and Li's stabbing rhythm section forced the seasoned noisician to take his glass instrument into surprising new directions. Released on conjunction with SUBJAM and made possible with the kind assistance of Asialink and the Australia Council for the Arts.

"a joyously gratuitous album, equally hilarious and punishing, maniacal and narcoleptic" - Shaun Prescott, Mess and Noise.

"the funniest most visceral and compelling music this writer has heard for a very long time" - Bob Baker Fish, cyclicdefrost

vialka VIALKA: Succès Planétaire International (2009): CD.
Hailing from deepest France, via everywhere and nowhere, Vialka are a devilishly high-spirited nomadic duo whose frontier-touring has taken them to all corners of the globe on a seemingly permanent world tour since their formation in 2002. Deriving their influences from traditional and modern underground music from around the globe Marylise Frecheville (percussion & voice ) and Eric Boros (baritone-guitar & voice) create music that skips joyfully across borders, channelling desert blues, Chinese folk songs, scatter rock and European gypsy song dynamics. A whirlwind dervish energy, that combines endless gypsy punk folk rock tales, hard hitting poly-rhythms, yelps and howls into one feverishly danceable and intoxicating brew. Like ‘A Hawk And A Hacksaw’ or ‘The Ex’ their openness to new sounds and cultures makes you feel alive. The album’s eight new tracks feature a frenetic interaction between Marylise's syncopated drumming and singing and Eric's orchestral guitar playing, delivered with ecstatic energy, humour, lust for life, and a sophisticated musical language and subliminal connection all their own. It also includes a charming rendition of the old German folk song ‘Hole in the Bucket’, their take on a traditional Shona mbira piece as well as collaborations with François Marcziniak and Cyrielle Faure (tuba and flute), Crank Sturgeon (sonic gesticulations), Andrew Dymond (mbira), and Xiao He (vocals and Hunan pipa). Recorded by Bob Drake at Studio Midi-Pyrénées in December 2008 and January 2009, and delightfully packaged in cardboard gatefold slips adorned with cover art by Rachel Lowther and photos by Wenxi Xiong.
AL DUVALL: RECLUSES UNITE PURPLE DUCK : DUCKSIDE OF THE MOON (2009): CD. (available march pre orders welcome)

Not to be confused with the Purple Loon, Purple Diver, Purple Grebe, Purple Gallinule or Purple Coot the Purple Duck is the more common name for the best MC in the world. His burning tongue is hot enough to burn down an entire herd of yobbo MC's like pieces of wood. On this is debut album the duck displays all his multi-talents with tracks spanning not only hip hop rather a succession of genres from the punk rock of 'love tampon' to the tear jerking balladeering of 'everyones dying'.

AL DUVALL: RECLUSES UNITE AL DUVALL: RECLUSES UNITE (2008): CD.
If you spend the evening with a bottle of whisky instead of your sweetheart, the tune you bellow out in the wee hours - with arms 'round a snake oil merchant and a boxing ballerina - could well be a ditty from the mind of Al Duvall. Al's wicked vaudevillian hits are crafted on banjo, kazoo, and various percussive detritus. These 'gentle but deadly' songs are drawn from the working-class music of pre-war America, blending jug-band, medicine show, music-hall, and Victorian parlor ballads. Al delivers a loving backhand to the fringe dweller in this expertly crafted collection of aural ephemera. With an overdose of morbid puns and sly innuendo, 'Recluses Unite' is the perfect primer for any aspiring vagrant.
TOXIC LIPSTICK: POOPIN TOXIC LIPSTICK: POOPIN (2008): CD.
Summer 08/09 will forever be known as the big brown one after the stench of the new Toxic Lipstick album Poopin reeks across Australia. Poopin is the fractal-crackin third album by Brisbane's favourite slumber party hosts, Synthia J Pop & Cyndii Valentine. Squeezed out while exchange students in Osaka, Japan, it sounds like a reverse enema for the brain. These girlz from the wrong side of the bike racks have produced eleven steamy crowd thumpers like Rape Me, Itchy Balls, and Teen Mum all worthy of inclusion in any self respecting rock eisteddfod production. Famed for their unique brand of electro-crap, a sound that's been described as ‘like Sigue Sigue Sputnik scoring Mortal Kombat porn' Poopin is a bass sensation in the brown note that will prove once and for all you can polish a turd, especially if left in your pants while gyrating on the dancefloor.
SISSY SPACEK: FRENCH RECORD SISSY SPACEK: FRENCH RECORD (2008): CD.
Since 1999, Sissy Spacek has been one of the most difficult groups around, with a starting point of full-../grindcore and an evolution to the definition of the most extreme/intense fringes of musique concrete, instantly identifiable by the handywork of John Wiese. On this, their fifth proper album, Sissy Spacek explore new territory, as always, and take turns no one could foresee into electro-acoustic improv, collage, industrial, noise and heavy metal, with a line up that includes Kevin Drumm, Kate Hall (Mika Miko), Sam Ott (The Fucking Angels), Corydon Ronnau, John Wiese, and C. Spencer Yeh (Burning Star Core). French Record is their strongest and most mature yet.

"recycled waste products of a doomed civilisation - fragments of Metal guitar fuzzed into oblivion, snippets of easy listening beaten to a bloody pulp - but they're meticulously catalogued and cunningly sequenced" the wire.

"uncovers a clear love of metal, but of course very bastardised and bent" - musiquemachine

childrens suite bonus disc KEVIN BLECHDOM + AD HAWK (SICKFICK & MC DODGY SEXIST): children's suite (2008) 7" + live@PBSfm CD.
Possibly the sickest release we have produced at dualpLOVER! You would expect this type of perversion from label mates Suicidal Rap Orgy but Kevin Blechdom? No sweet Kevy wouldn't rework a Beatles classic like twist and shout into a celebration of pre natal pleasure, or would she? Must be the perverse influence of collaborator Ad Hawk. Comes complete with bonus live to air CD recorded at Melbourne's PBS FM's studio 5 live program during her 2006 Australian tour.
NAKED ON THE VAGUE: THE BLOOD PRESSURE SESSIONS NAKED ON THE VAGUE: THE BLOOD PRESSURE SESSIONS (2007): CD (last copies).
Following from their self-titled single, Naked On The Vague's debut album, The Blood Pressure Sessions, dives deep into a world of apocalyptic pop and psychedelic weirdness... Lucy and Matthew's disparate vocals grip onto stabbing keys and menacing hook-laden basslines, pushed on by an unrelentless drum machine far past the end of its warranty period. Essentially this is a punk assault packaged into nine distinct tracks that range from some almost dance-able short and sharp hits to gloomy extended freak-outs. Taking direction from where the short lived no-wave movement ended Naked On The Vague expand on what that imploded scene could have garnished had it not succumbed to its own fatalistic shortcomings.

"This is the type of noise that compels people to cut themselves, writhe on the floor, dance and laugh, all within the same moment." - SKYSCRAPER.

"if this was released 30 years ago, it would be studied and discussed with fervor just as other No Wave classics are getting treated today." - Jackson Glass

the timid mischeif AL DUVALL: THE TIMID MISCHIEF (2006): CD.
An unguided tour guide down memory Lane, turn of the century style American folk. Played on banjo, kazoo, guitar, musical saw, and a collection of spittoons, frying pans and medicine bottles. Al's vaudevillian songs are heaped in black wit, double entendre and clever word play about kleptomaniacs, Moonshiners, criminals, loners and even more shadowy figures. The music is a mix of old-timey, ragtime, sea shanty, Victorian parlour and jug band. Recorded on wax cylinders and other lo-fi devices, these songs were meant to be written between 1900 and 1930; he just never got around to it until now.

"his lyrics strike with all of the bravado of a Tom Waits album, but with a twinge of the old Vaudeville" - Folk it Up

rebirth of fool vol 3 THE REBIRTH OF FOOL VOLUME 3: COMPILATION (2006): CD.
After years of focus groups and market research we have come up with the perfect audio product for today's consumer. what our research has found is that today's music consumer wants to eat shit and say yummy, so we concocted the biggest load of shit the world has ever faced and hand bound it in a 24 page gold blocked book so fancy you'd think you won lotto. Yes our third installment of the rebirth of fool compilation series is simply a pearliest pearler ever, not only is it our most impressively packaged disc it's also the most expensive, labour intensive item we've ever produced. So if you wanna dumb down your ears down between bouts of xenakis and cage and hear the latest in retardation like 7u? channeling Wesley willis in an ode to this very organization, testimonials from my miserablelife.com put to music by fool veterans new waver, unrequited love songs set in seedy adelaide establishments, instructional songwriting cassettes, gay audio porn spoken in thick Australian accents, absurd police tapes and a whole lotta other stuff not worth listing then this is the album for you.

"Your level of appreciation for this CD is likely to depend on your enjoyment of blacker-than comedy" - Cyclic Defrost

prisoner of hormones TOXIC LIPSTICK: PRISONER OF HORMONES (2005): CD (last copies)
Toxic Lipstick are 2 14 yr old hotties dropping the bass and breaking hearts in sunny Brisbane, Australia. With shining eyes and glossy coats these teen skanks aren..t afraid to throw lips to the shit that really mattersponies, boys, puberty, shafting acid and hosting exclusive popcorn sleepovers. A triple combo of dope beats, dope rhymes and dope rax with xtra fries, Toxic Lipstick are Australia..s most bitchin whorecore duo eva. They will shit in yr mouth, spew in yr undies and give yr pony the finest grooming she..s eva had. After selling panadol to ravers to fund their first album ..When the Dove..s Cry.. the girls are at it again this time unleashing their difficult second album. Ultimately this new opus in pre-teenism shows that 'Doves? their first offering was merely spotting compared to the heavy menstrual flow on the new album 'Prisoner of hormones?

"gratuitous eighth grade toilet/sex humour over speedcore tempos" - Cyclic Defrost

neuters NEW WAVER: NEUTERS (2005): CD.
A retrospective best off taken from New Wavers infamous cassette series spanning the 90's. Essentially Top 40 hits with the lyrics changed to address all aspects of loserdom, Or Weird Al with an extremely pessimistic neo-Darwinian world view. In the New Waver world, everything comes down to survival of the fittest, a land in which the strongest and most dominant triumph and the rest are sidelined, ostracised, beaten up, and generally have miserable, pointless lives.

"Boring folks from the tax office singing boring songs from the 80s sounding tired, bored and beaten down by society. It sounds terrible, but it's not. It's genius." - Inpress Magazine.

"Had Jean-Paul Sartre been born in Brisbane or Canberra, he could well have come up with something like this." - Dev.Null

instant obvilian BRADBURY: INSTANT OBVILIAN (2005): CD.
Sydney Australia's favourite chronically depressed, long term unemployed, alcoholic, asthmatic, homosexual electronic music pioneer. A man who's just spent the waking half of the last two years concocting this, his third collection of solo works titled 'INSTANT OBLIVION' between copious amounts of drinks and bouts with day time television. If his previous effort the lauded RUFFINI CORPUSCLE; was a plumb designed to measure the depths of a luscious aural abyss. This album is the measurement discovered by its predecessors journey delving deep into exquisite musical epiphany.

"Bradbury is a master sonic bricklayer who has the ins and outs of tension and release down pat" -Mess + Noise Magazine.

songs for swingers SINGING SADIE: SONGS FOR SWINGERS (2005): CD.
Sing a little ditty with Sadie, the all singing all dancing queen of the burgeoning underground show tunes scene. Her songs hark back to the war years, a simpler time, when singing prowess was often overlooked favouring instead sharp and biting lyrics centred on drinking, dancing and prostitutes long passed their used by date, sung and danced with all the skill and execution of Florence Foster Jenkins.

"This Australian one-woman-show sings in an out-of-control voice that doesn't always hit the right notes (but they're usually close enough) humorously dirty lyrics over old big-band records. And then, maybe half-way thru each tune...she tap dances. Well, she tries. It's kind of the dancing equivalent of her singing, like someone randomly dropping silverware on a hard floor." - WMFU.

"one part Poly Styrene to one part Eraserhead radiator lady" - Mess + Noise Magazine.

pluto pup and you VOLVOX: EGG, PLUTO PUP AND YOU (2004): CD
Volvox were one of the most extraordinary bands ever to emerge from Melbourne, or infact anywhere else. Unfortunately for the rest of the world, during their short existence (1991 to 1996) they never played outside of that city. Describing the unsettling nature of the Volvox sound is somewhat difficult without pointing out one unmistakable feature, the vocals style of Anthony Riddell (aka 'Lester Vat'), their all-stumbling neurologically damaged front-man, whose infamous fall at the Redfern squats in the late 80s left him in a coma for months, and then with a significant movement disorder.

Our 2005 CD reissue of their second cassette Egg, Pluto Pup and You, marks the final installment of Spill and Dual Plover's reissue trilogy following our earlier (and now sold out) reissues of 'bad earth' (first cassette) and 'the damage begins at the mouth' (previously unreleased material). This series is an effort to preserve for all time one of Australia's true outsider outfits.

"perhaps the best band of their time. Certainly, Huhnenblut is worth the lives of ten thousand Cobains."
- Tom Smith, Bananafish.

handjob SISTER GWEN MCKAY: HANDJOB (2004): CD.
Straight from the corpus christie catholic college at camperdown, Sister gwen and friends never fail to fascinate and entertain with their barrage of questions to radio talkshow host and all round barroom intellectual peter hand. Learn the mystery of the word whoompah and the origin of the word bloouse through Nigels constant struggle with the English language.Be entertained by gwens theories on poetry and gang warfare, Discover the joy of cooking with pea water and how good it is for your digestive tract. And see why tony durham (judiths father) never made it with the seekers and why he is so proud of his famous daughter.

"it doesn't matter how many times you hear it, it doesn't get any easier to cope with." - INPRESS MAGAZINE.

songs to cry by... NORA KEYES: SONGS TO CRY BY IN THE GOLDEN AGE OF NOTHING (2004): CDR.
Nora Keyes first solo album, Songs to Cry by for the Golden Age of Nothing sounds more like an old 78 pried from the arms of a long deceased witch, found in a buried tea chest, in a forgotten woodland that the local children dare not venture into, than the efforts of a nice Los Angeles born girl, joined here by her talented friends Rebecca Lynn (violin). Ray Day (guitar), Creekbird (brass / drums) and Dame Darcy (auto harp / saw).

"She's the bastard child of Anton LaVey and Kate Bush" - Blunt.

vermin perm SPAZMODICS: VERMIN PERM (2003): CDR.

If click-clack-front-and-back got you dancing, prepare to stand again, as the SPAZMODICS unleash an A.D.D trip through all the classic hits and pieces from the last 60 years that you never knew existed. If Hall & Oates had taken matches to puppies on stage while drinking milk and eating bacon, they would have sounded like this. Loud enough to attract complaints from your neighbors while smooth enough to entice them inside. With one hand on the volume and one eye on the door the spazmodics will take you on a mystical journey through "experimental music" via the hand holding guidance of tomm jones, the three stooges and many many other unwitting participants. Created and modified by swerve , the "other guy who doesn't mash glass against his face" who co-runs/co-owns/livesshitsandbreathes dual plover and one mathew landers (natures great creative and unsung force). Music for people with nothing better to do than listen to music and make a mess in their heads.

"deranged and hallucinatory- more along the lines of what a glitchy Boredoms might do than any mash-up styled deconstruction of pop tunes" - angebase
ruffini corpuscle BRADBURY : RUFFINI CORPUSCLE (2003): CDR.
Molecular glam is how gary bradbury (ex severed heads) describes his first solo album in 14 years RUFFINI CORPUSCLE. And this his eclectic selection of works, amassed over the past three years, incorporates a wide range of creative strategies and techniques including: customised pianola rolls (Never the Less), randomised digital cut-ups (The Boulevard of Broken Arms), dismembered vinyl (Sinistrogyric Mobius Disc) and analogue synthesis (Big Man On Campus, Speaker, Filmore Honey). Intensely melodic, full of rhythmic and textural detail, this collection presents the culmination of his recent extensive sonic explorations.

&8220;Bradbury has the rare double, not only is he meticulous in his execution, but he's been able to produce not one but fourteen new atmospheric worlds, where the laws of nature no longer exist, but chaos is kept at bay by Bradbury's odd and innovative logic". &8211; Inpress Magazine.

yinyue DJ SMALLCOCK: YINYUE (2000): CD: SOLD OUT.
This disc has it all, Hopeless romanticism, (smallcock followed ViVi to china after only knowing her for days) pre-millennium madness, (recorded at a time the rest of the world got hopelessly drunk) political tension (set in a backdrop of Beijing at the time of the Macao handover and the trail of Fol Long Gong members) and not forgetting aural exploration.with nine hours worth of Beijing radio committed to tape (smallcock would spend his days wondering the city's extensive hutong systems just flicking through radio stations) on his return to bris-vegas he frottaged them down into a 55 minute love song dedication using nothing but a pause button (in a single nine hour session that finished with the pause button tettering).

"he packs enough horse meat here to feed alla witcyst, cock esp, evil moisture, aube an' every pierced, pink-skinned dipshit with a scottish return address. who'da thought?" - BANANAFISH.

"one of the strangest albums in the history of recorded music." - dave segal (ALTERNATIVE PRESS)

bad earth VOLVOX: BAD EARTH (2002): CD: SOLD OUT.
the second installment of the spill / dualpLOVER reissue trilogy of one of the most unique but unheralded bands to ever exist. bad earth was a CD reissue of their 1991 cassette release that was initially available as an edition of 100.

&8220;The second in an set of archival re-issues of Melbourne-based entity Volvox, Target Earth is truly one of the oddest things one could ever ask to hear. A vocalist who has a speech difficulty due a fall through a plate glass window (or so legend has it) combines with sinister electronic sound and the odd depressing sample to produce something for which there is no reference point. Song structure as we might know it is not simply abandoned, it was never part of this universe of pained squalling, deep rumbling power electronics and sonic manipulation. It's ugly to be sure, but ugly in the way fungus can be - so fascinating it may as well be beautiful. It goes beyond mere spectacle - which this undoubtedly is - to a voyage into genuine abstraction and unhinged moments of terror that may reveal genuine secrets in a psychic/subliminal manner. I could describe this as a hard listen, but something about it draws me back to this; it could be it's sheer outsider-ness, but there is a point of view being expressed here that challenges many conceptions I have about music and more especially, free noise. What's more, there is a strand of the familiar somehow - this reminds me of kitchens and having cups of tea while a cat rolls about on the floor, yet it's an alien version of these things, the recognition making the strange all the stranger. I hesitate to even call it experimental - it sounds too intuitive for that. It's an essential listen for explorers of the outer perimeters of underground music, and sits with out companion at the point where dimensional walls crumble before the force of entropy. I can't recommend this enough, but be ready for an unsettling experience that defies all description."
-Andrew harper

live in lisboa JUSTICE YELDHAM & THE DRUMMER WHO WISHES TO REMAIN NAMELESS (2007): CDR: EDITION OF 40: SOLD OUT.

After running out of stock in france Justice Yeldham produced this last minute tour souvenir CDR using leftover scraps from LE DERNIER CRI's screen-printing workshop and some recordings with a certain drummer who didn't want it to see the light of day. Earlier that year after almost 10 years Lucas finally listened to these recording for the first time since they were made in Tokyo in 1998. Deciding that there was something there he edited them into pieces and mastered them for possible release. When it was ready he contacted the drummer in question to ask where to send the recordings for his consideration, without hearing the material the reply was. "please keep our recording as secret private session. I don't want to release it any format." sorry if you bothered to listen to it he may have respected your wishes!

live koala magic DEERHOOF: LIVE (KOALA MAGIC) (2001): SOLD OUT.
"live, half-hour-long Koalamagic serves up one long and four short tracks from the group over four years' time. Only bassist/singer Satomi and drummer Greg appears on all tracks, making the disc a sort-of band historas alternate arrangements and lineups came and went. The long cut at the start is actually seven or eight tracks from a 2000 show cut as one combined track without any edits, featuring the turn-of-the-millennium trio lineup of the group finding their own stop-start crumble and crunch metier. Greg is arguably the most prominent member here, his blasting clashes on his kit slipping through tempos and fills just as he pleases without diluting the energy, though guitarist John, who proved a smart recruitment for the group, comes up with great abbreviated riffs and squalls. Satomi herself projects the spirit of a winsome singer crossed with caffeinated genes as she pleases -- the initial shift from high-pitched aggression to sweet calm is downright startling -- but for the most part relies on subtlety even as she and her compatriots fire things up. Meanwhile, the band's dips into classic rock raunch for seconds at a time make for a disorienting experience that's still pretty cool -- it's almost like a Led Zeppelin sound check that's meant to sound that way, only with a different singer. The remaining numbers are enjoyable enough dips into Deerhoof's disorienting sound; "Insist," featuring the same lineup as the lead track, is a fairly monstrous slab of post-punk doom gone epic, while the 1996-era medley concluding the disc encapsulates chaos in six minutes flat. Satomi does a nice job rocking the bells at points, to be sure." ~ Ned Raggett, All Music Guide.
fool 2 THE REBIRTH OF FOOL VOLUME TWO: COMPILATION (2001): CDR.

baby crocodiles DEANO MERINO: BABY CROCODILES (1999): CDR.
Why did the woman of australia vote our dean (merino) grey as their diet-coke guy. it wasn't because he was a tanned and brave firefighter who looks great in a wife beater, no it was his talent as a singer, songwriter and casio enthusiast that brought him over the line. on baby crocodiles he delivers childlike precision pop about golf, axalotals, european cars and other issues.

rocket to DNA NOISE RAMONES: ROCKET TO D.N.A (1999): CDR.
When EYE submitted this ultra lo-fi trance noise track for the Rebirth of Fool volume one a little late, we decided to capitalize on it anyway by releasing it on it's own, with a few remixes by our own dj smallcock thrown in for good measure.
maschinenstil MERZBOW: MASCHINENSTIL (1998): CDR.
"'stormy monday' was a title taken from first track of lee michaels album (a&m 1969), cause this composition is looks cluster organ sound! this organ sound was made by 5 oscillators unit, ring modulator and of 20 pitch shifters and enhancer, limiter, drum sound which sampled on 1 second sampling delay was taken from terry bozzio drum solo on 'hands with hammer' which featured on frank zappa 'you can't do that on stage anymore vol.3 (zappa records). i was very liked that drum sound. so, recently i often used bozzios sampling on stage as previous European tour.

'shin kawasaki' was inspired from landscape of shin-kawasaki industrial city. i recognized this station first time when i back from yokosuka by fast train of yokosuka line. i used drum machine(tr606). also used exd electro drum kit for bass sound. these equipments are sound very techno pop in early 80s. my composition was inspired from equipments too." - Masami Akita.

plover brand PEELED HEARTS PASTE: PLOVER BRAND (1997): CDR.
Hyper sized turntablist action without the turntables. Before glass munching his way across the globe some of Lucas Abela's first musical exploits included turntables powered by industrial motors spinning not only lps but grinding bits, saw blades, vegetable cutting devices and humming bowls amongst other things and played by skewers and knifes that have been converted into giant styli. Brutal noise recordings produced without the help of any effect pedals. This is the only collection of of his early works and includes studio and live takes.

After many trials and tribulations, Dual Plover Recordings has the esteemed pleasure of announcing to the world that A Kombi's debut masterpiece Music to Drive-by is now available to you, the consumer. This highly anticipated release is to our knowledge the first album entirely composed and performed by a van or any other motor vehicle. But please don't get us wrong, this is not some tokenistic offering against inanimatism. We truly believe in A Kombi's work, it just so happens that it is an object, a van to be more precise. But you need not to take our word for it; one listen and you too will be ranking A Kombi with your favourite human types of the musical variety. Music to Drive-by was originally recorded at picturesque Waverley Cemetery in September 1994 but due to financial reasons hasn't seen the light of day until now. Regretfully A Kombi itself did not live long enough to witness this momentous occasion, sadly passing on in April 1996, en route to Queensland. I only knew A Kombi in the last four years of its twenty one year lifespan, but in that time we became very close. At first it told me nothing of how it longed for the stage, probably thinking that I, like most humans, would only humour it about the chances of it making any impact in this human dominated music industry. The idea that performance is for humans, not Volkswagens, must have sat uncomfortably wherever cars keep thoughts. It took disaster before it could confide to me its love for performing music. While recovering in South Grafton after a harrowing rolling on the face of Mount Tambourine A Kombi sang to me for the very first time. No words can describe the beauty in her song that day but one thing I can tell you is that I knew a star was born. Soon after A Kombi and I set upon our infamous Drive-by recitals at bus stops and traffic islands up and down the east coast of Australia. A Kombi's greatest moment came when it first graced the stage at Sydney's Vulcan Hotel; well, not exactly the stage but parked on the footpath just outside the stage door where she played her first and only live performance. In time the fame began to drain A Kombi - not even professional appearances drag racing with the Popemobile could kept her spirits up. A sickness that would eventually lead to death was beginning to take hold. Now not a day goes by without my mind taking a moment to ponder the loss of such a great talent so early in its career, but at least we have these recordings, so now and forever we can always... ...well at least we have them. NOTV 7 NAKED ON THE VAGUE: SELF-TITLED: 7" (2006): sold out. (some copies still available via french distributor metamkine)

NOTV fell into existence with a found organ, broken bass guitar, borrowed drum and some old doom poetry. Lucy Cliché executes distorted keyboard melodies, while Matthew P Hopkins plays psyched out bass guitar, which is all kept together with pounding drum machine beats. This is their debut release a self-titled 7" capturing the spectrum of sound NOTV creates. Side A features the single 'All Aboard!' the self-proclaimed dance floor hit, plus the short and sharp 'God Nor Devil'. (alternate versions to the Blood Pressure Sessions CD) Side B features the slow doomy 'A Sunken Piece of Rubbish'.

when the doves cryToxic Lipstick : When the Doves Cry, CD (toxic, 2005) (sold out)

Toxic Lipstick are still chillin' in grade 9 at Poxy Avenue State High, but that hasn't stopped them from releasing the DOPEST album (as voted by ravers on the party island Ibiza) of 2005…''When the Doves Cry'. The only thing that can be said of this seminal album is that it is definitely hotter than Drazic.

ACTUAL SIZE SIZE : ACTUAL SIZE: CD (ZONAR).
Formed in 1993 after a long drunken week of listening to old T.Rex records, Size serves as a conduit for Jason & Garry's otherwise unintelligible ramblings. These musical proctologists delve the bargain bin of the collective subconscious, to bring you hitherto unrealisable audio effluvia. Jason Gee's background of exploding fast food outlets and flat whites makes him particularly adept at smoking cigarettes. Garry Bradbury's repour with remote control apparatus and real estate agents gives him the insight necessary to mix complex musical metaphors. Recent live performances include performing alongside Coldcut during their London-Newcastle netcast performance during the Newcastle electrofringe99. The actualSize album was album of the week on Sydney's 2SER in mid-November 99. Garry Bradbury was a key member of seminal electronic outfit Severed Heads between 1982 and 1989. In fact the creative legacy of the original Severed Heads mixing desk lives on thru the actualSize album.

Highly amusing stories about shit from all over the world.
FUNNY SHIT TRASH MATHS ZINE. Issues 1 , 2 and 3

Mathematics for the seedy underbelly of life, easily explained for even the most marginalised criminal. Sample question:

Kevin the bent cop makes $600 a week but shakes down drug dealers and pimp for an extra $800 a week on average. If kevins morgage on his house in woollara is $500 a week how much can Kevin piss up a wall weekly?

FUNNY SHITTRASH ENGLISH

like trash maths but with english, ghost written by brendan phelan this is the most intellectualised issue yet.
Sample question:

Q:In a written statement submitted at his committal hearing, Darren wrote: “Yes I have an history of mental problems, but when I shot Alice and the kids it was Self Defense.” What's wrong with Darren's plea?

A:writing defence with an “s” is more of an American usage. Also, technically, there's no need for capitals in “self defence”. (We'd be prepared to turn a blind eye to that, except he's trying to be smart by writing “an history”, which is just an ignorant attempt to show off.)

About dualpLOVER (Kevin Blechdom NZ & AUS Tour 09/10)
dualpLOVER is the musical orphanage for those square pegs that have trouble being placed in round holes. Since our foundation in 1995 slowly, steadily and surely we have released a highly diverse range of music from Australia and abroad. Everything from avant-pop to folk to noise to hip-hop to vaudeville to comedy to post punk to parody to elctronica etc has bared our name. The name in fact is the literal English translation for the Japanese words for double-ended dildo, which in essence is what we do here; take it in from all directions! We are also a distributor of a startling array of musics from all over, a broker for CD/DVD manufacturing, a promoter of shows and tours. We pride ourselves in our doing these things differently from most and cherish all things independent.

....FRIZZ RECORDS is proud to announce our fourth LP release...

LEILA ADU has been described as 'A Nina Simone for the Noughties', and her two acclaimed albums infuse a broadly 'art-rock' approach with elements of torch song, speakeasy blues, avant garde jazz, gamelan, post-rock textures, and a David Lynch style dreamlike b-movie melodrama. As her website has it, exploring the "dissonant edges of familiar forms", but with that kind of 'dissonance' that they once accused Thelonious Monk or Debussy of, the kind that soon betrays it's own compelling melodic and harmonic logic to the attentive listener...

'Dark Joan', Leila's third album as a solo artist, was recorded in Chicago with the legendary Steve Albini (PJ Harvey, Joanna Newsome, Nirvana, Pixies), and Albini's genius has been to strip her sound back to it's essence, and hold it's most distinctive qualities up to the light. It doesn't hurt that this is by far Leila's most powerful set of songs to date, and if anything we are lead even deeper into her world by the pictures painted with just piano (or in some cases harpsichord or a grime-encrusted electric piano) and that voice...

Capable of anything from delicate heartbreaking purity to a fearsome dramatic power, her powers are seemingly limitless, yet unlike most other singers of her calibre, never does she resort to melodrama or show-boating, or any kind of pastiche, instead she employs her resources fully in the expression of her distinctive musical vision and the deep well-spring of her imagination. Nothing ever sounds as though it could have not been sung...

....FRIZZ RECORDS is proud to announce our third LP release...

"Anutha Kinda Brotha" is the debut LP from underground legend ART TERRY. Since moving to the UK from his native Los Angeles in the early 90s, Mr Terry has established himself as one of London's characters. Describing Art's sound to the uninitiated usually involves debunking some of the stereotypes of what the 'typical' black Californian might play. Despite his jazz training, and coming of age to the sounds of classic soul and funk, these styles are only a part of his musical vision. His fascination with folk styles, classical music, punk rock, pure pop, easy listening, musical theatre and the European avant garde have taken him on different paths from most...

The result is an orchestral pop record full of sonic inventiveness, whether it's the blend of Shuggie Otis's 60s California and Sun Ra's ancient Egypt on 'Bible', Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons leading a mariachi band on 'Escort', or the Walt Disney music box orchestra of 'Miss Dominatrix', but whilst this is very much a sonic feast, we shouldn't overlook Art's extraordinary lyrical adeptness, and the distinctive character this brings to the proceedings, with a knack for unique and colourful imagery, and how like a great short story writer he is able to paint an engaging picture whilst keeping back from casting judgement on his characters, always leaving open ends for the listener to tie; giving us the feeling that however far astray someone might have gone, there is always sympathy and human feeling for them in Art's mind...

....FRIZZ RECORDS is proud to announce our second official LP release...

"Modern Mediaeval" is the third LP from singer-songwriter DAVID GARSIDE, and the first to receive the full Frizz Records vinyl treatment. It’s also clearly the most fully-realised statement of his distinctive vision so far…

It’s an easy route to locate David in the tradition of his ‘classic’ influences (McCartney, Nick Drake, Stevie Wonder, Joni Mitchell, The Beach Boys, Love, Talking Heads, Peter Gabriel, Dexy’s…), but there are few songwriters working today that have absorbed these influences so fully, and arrived at a mature style as David has…

This is ’singer-songwriter’ music in the sense that it’s focus is on song-craft and the unfolding of the lyrical vision of a single individual, but if so then it’s definitely at the sophisticated end of the scale (’progressive’ if that term isn’t too loaded…), filed alongside ‘Bryter Layter’, ‘The Hissing Of Summer Lawns’, ‘Pretzel Logic’ or ‘Surf’s Up’...another FRIZZ RECORDS instant classic!

"Modern Mediaeval" can be downloaded from the iTunes Store

The album is also available on heavyweight vinyl LP, or on Digipack CD from www.FrizzRecords.com & all good retailers
