On April 2006, Antonio Louro (AKA Craft) and Luis Rolo decided to join efforts to compete in the music contest "KAFEKOMSOM" organized by the Teatro Municipal da Guarda. They tried to mix one's Hip-Hop with the other's alternative Pop forming "Dual Tone". After the contest Sofia Prata joined the band, giving Dual Tone's music some extra spice.
And by the way, they won the contest.

Hello and thank you for requesting to add to my friend space. Welcome new friends!! Greetings from California!! I’m sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you. I have been busy for the past 2 months writing new music, preparing for and taking a 3-week trip to Japan, and now I am busy trying to catch up with all the myspace correspondence that has accumulated. I have just finished listening to your uploaded tracks and I have to say that you have a way of blending sounds and styles of music which defy expectation. It’s really hard to pull something like that off. “Supernova” I love the deep sound of the drone mixed with the middle eastern vocal(?), there is a great ethnic feel to this track, also the feeling to be far away from home in a foreign country. When the drums kick in, the male vocal went totally against all expectation. It would be very difficult for me to suggest a single genre of music you might possibly fall into. But that is what is great about these times, there are no strict rules for musical styles anymore. Very different sound you have!! “WE” has an aftertaste of “Supernove”, but with a darker chord progession and atmosphere. Once again, I was unable to predict where you might go with this. The dance beat gives this track many possibilities as far as where I could imagine hearing this track. Again, interesting mix of sounds and styles. I like the driving drum beat and can imagine dancing to this song in a dance club. (continued below)
(continued from above) “Full Speed” I like the slow fade in to the up beat tempo. I also like the distorted sound textures just underneath the drumbeat. Really gives this track an attractive feel, it has a hypnotic quality. The echoey, female vocal is also attractive, if not sexy. This track has a dark feel, an underworld dark feel. I really like the syncopated sound samples.“Property” I like the sequenced bass line, the repetition creates a great pulse and is a great rhythmic foundation for the other sounds and the vocal. The slower tempo of this track, compared to the previous tracks, gives this song the feeling of having a drone that seems to draw me in, closer and closer to the source of the sound. I think the male vocal reminds me of much heavier music, but fits nicely into your sound, as I said before, it dodges expectations. Thanks again for requesting to add. It is nice to meet you and listen to your world of music. I would also like to hear any thoughts or comments you may have about my own music. I hope you are all well and I look forward to hearing from you. Talk to you soon, DAVE in California-
