In their spare time David Barratt is writing an epic poem about the glories of "Herbal-Medicinal Rice Wine" while Papa Dee teaches Jamaican patois to The Karen National Liberation Army who continue their struggle against the oppressive Burmese Junta. Dubchek are currently working their new album "The Far East End" in their studio, the Abattoir of Good Taste, in the no-mans land between The Thai and Burmese border near Laos , recording such song as "Leslie Hyltern" Was A Murderer" about the only Test Cricketer to be executed and the Taoist "Lao Tzu In Dub".
Mixing Luk Thung, Thai folk music and Dub they have created a whole new genre called "Dub Thung".
