DUB DISTRICT is a musical mission set to activate, the mind, body, and soul, with a conscious voice and a revolutionary spirit for all people. Forming in the summer of 2005, This 5 piece collective strives to bring a familiar sound of roots, rock, reggae, & dub of the 1970's era in a new way, by seamlessly intertwining elements of dancehall, rocksteady, afro-beat, folk, blues, and jazz.
Each member of DUB DISTRICT, brings their own flavor to this melting pot of roots music, all while sticking to the basic principles of reggae music. The lyrics reflect the Rastafarian lifestyle of lead vocalist & songwriter Ras Daniel, speaking of faith, unity, empowerment of the people, social injustice on a local & global level & everyday real-life situations. The music reinforces the vocals and lyrics, to bring a combination of sound yet to be heard in the world of reggae.
Each DUB DISTRICT performance is supplied with a positive vibe and backed by a solid groove, uplifting the audience, leaving the people feeling Irie, everytime.

DUB DISTRICT has been blessed, to embark on 3 national tours in 2008 and 2009, to be featured in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Cue Section, June 2009 edition of Scene Magazine(Ft. Collins/Northern Colorado), perform live on 92.9 KJEE FM(Santa Barbara, CA), 88.9 Radio Milwaukee, 94.1 Positive Vibrations Radio (Visalia, CA), 90FM Rubadub Radio WWSP(UWSP), play Summerfest '08 and '09(World's Largest music festival) and share the stage with reggae acts like the legendary Mighty Diamonds (JA), Macka B (UK), John Brown's Body, Dr. Israel, Wadi Gad and Jahbandis, Yellow Wall Dub Squad, Natty Nation, The Urbanites, Spiritual, The Figureheads and many other great bands.
