On an island in the Mediterranean, one encounters something which is so vital for this world, it makes life more worthwhile. The expression in itself tells us a lot and in connection with one of the most magic places on this earth it only gains in meaning.
It is called 'Spirit of Ibiza' - not to be confused with the hype about Ibiza which only resulted from it but certainly lacks the depth. 'Spirit of Ibiza' stands for a mental exchange between the people and is based on respect and tolerance. An exchange in the most varied ways, on all levels, on a unique platform making it all possible. That is why the magic of the island is so important, because the island itself lies on a similar wavelength. Due to its geographical position -Ibiza lies directly on one of the earth's energy lines - one can actually feel the magic.
This is the spirit we would like to spread amongst others - so to speak 'around the world'. On a smaller scale, this spirit can be found everywhere. Unfortunately, outward circumstances force it to hide away most times.
Our aim is to lure the spirit out, to revive it, and to show with the help of the spirit how important the dialogue is amongst people especially in times of the omnipresent globalization. This dialogue should be encouraged especially for a better understanding of others and their peculiar characteristics, because only by this way will we be able to preserve our individualism and live in peace and freedom.
Our means of expression are manifold: Written word, pictures, culture in its widest sense, positive way of life and not to forget a portion of magic. Ibiza holds this magic, and remember: You can't buy it, you can't imitate it, you can't provoke it, you can't use it to your benefit, all you can do is experience it and pass it on, let it be food for your spirit and be welcome in daundergroundbite.
dub - Spirit of Ibiza is a magazine about music, party and culture for people all over Europe's metropolises. dub is published in two languages, English and Spanish. With its very unique and fresh and independent concept it is aimed at the mobile generation, interested in international club culture and electronic music, culture of all kind and fashion.
dub is edited in Ibiza, but doesn't report about Ibiza exclusively. The spirit of this Island influences the magazine greatly and carries the feeling of a positive way of life, music culture and lifestyle way across its borders.
During the summer months, Ibiza has established itself to being one of the centres of musical movement. Ibiza is the place where Europeans from the world of music, fashion, media and art meet, but increasingly people from the USA and Asia are attracted by the island as well. Dub is flexible and will report on the spirit of Ibiza and according to ongoing activities from other metropolises of this world.
