Well, theres a few 'little rascals' that get right on board, and a whole bunch of 'little rascals' that come and enjoy/suppport the gig, and there is one particular 'little rascal' that runs the show. But everyone has a little rascal inside them, and anyone can choose to bring that little rascal out to work and play with the other 'little rascals'.
The 'little rascal' is usually in a good mood on the night, with an appetite for big bass, bungas and dubbed out music, it is a good time to meet and network with him. If not you are surely to meet some other 'little rascal that will pump up the vibes of the dub and the 'little rascal' massive, and welcome you into this regurlar, warm, popular, tropical event.

Dub In Tha Pub was born in december 05, at a time when an old pub was just begining to have a revival in music. That old pub is the Barrier Reef Hotel on the corner of Wharf and Abbott Streets in Cairns CBD. The promoter hooking up all the music is HiFly Production House, and Little Rascal Records is the indie label that came up with the whack idea of running a monthly residency for reggae bass music culture called Dub In Tha Pub. A number of DJs and bands have graced the soundsystem at Dub In Tha Pub, all of whom have put in their best, with some outstanding sets. The punters have been well entertained with bigs sounds from all aspects and influences of the dub genre, they have also pitched in and danced, promoted and often attended. The crowds have been responsive to the vibe and there has been a steady turnout with some big nights. The gig has also been complemented by the release of compiltion cd, Dub Rascals Volume 1 by Little Rascal Records (June 06) and Dub Rascals Volume 2 (March 07) The Dub Rascals Volume is a complilation cd concept released and published by LRRecords, that incorporates collaborations between label artists and guest artists, as well as track lisensing and remixes. The volume is open for any artist to contribute to and submissions are welcome. This was released successfully at Dub In Tha Pub 07 and was also the debut of the Dub Rascal Soundsystem, which is the live act that plays tracks from/for the volume. Dub Rascals Volume 3 is already in the works and scheduled for release in 2009, with more great tracks from label and contributing artists. Dub In Tha Pub can only keep on developing from here, and LRRecords is keen to keep on putting dub and big bass music out on the Dub Rascals Volume and via this popular and uniquely Cairns own dub residency. And for as long as people love coming out to play, dance, meet freinds, maybe have a drink and enjoy great music, then Dub In Tha Pub will charge on!...
Following in the tradition of local, warm and popular gig; Dub In Tha Pub, Dub In Tha Club brings together label and guest DJs to play a variety of breakbeat musics. Generally a dubstep session and with dubstep being such a broad sounding genre, djs will often move into dub and all its ways, realms of drum'n'bass and jungle music, breaks and forays into hip hop and funk...always bringing it fresh!
First gig brings out 'dub rascals', Symonard and Spiral Soundsystem and new label signing and bad ass beat specialist Dubstance and joined by fresh guest Low Sub Destroyerz.
Complemented by record label networks, promotion, reputation and hype, the Dub In Tha Club event proves to be a big bass heavy and savvy gig.
