1995, and Dubstar first appeared as Steve Hillier, Chris Wilkie and Sarah Blackwood. Born of smoky bars, seedy basements clubs and debauched house parties, Dubstar released their debut album 'Disgraceful' to amazing critical and commercial success across the world. There were tours, television, top of the pops and many tantrums...
...And suddenly it was 2000. Nine hit singles, three hit albums, and a belated 'Best of...' compilation later, Dubstar paused for an extended break. Nothing happened for a long, long time.
But now, in 2008, Dubstar is returning with something new. But it's not about nostalgia, nor sexless posturing, not even about the synthesizers and keyboards that dominated the 1990s and sound so tired now. Instead, Dubstar have done something else, something fresh, something...very Dubstar. So standby, this is going to be interesting…
I thought I'd drop by to let you know about the upcoming I Have Clones UK tour this July! Dates are up on my page now but basically we're playing everywhere from Glasgow to Torquay and if you can get down to a show it'd be awesome to hang out.

hi Dubstar thanks for adding me. ive loved your tunes for ages. do check my books out, ive a new ebook on allromanceebooks.com called sexy independence, its hot lol. like your songs. regards nick armbrister, author.
This has happened before..listened to one Dubstar song this morning and ended up spending hours with full lengths, b sides, mixes...these songs were great then and still resonate. Brilliant songwriting. Now I've made a new Dubstar mix cd to bring with me to Africa tomorrow morning! True, I may be listening at night in Tanzania to these tunes. Anyway, cheers & many thanks..
You singularly made my year last year, I just listened to 'Manic' about 100 times or more I think, enough to make me go out of my mind anyway. I cannot wait for the next release ( obviously I need more! ) I would love to do a review on your new album if you want a hand...love xox *mm*
