O Dubstereo se baseia numa conexão de sons e diversidade sociocultural. O grupo bebe nas fontes jamaicana e soteropolitana, tendo como ponto de partida e elemento central o Reggae. Buscando uma renovação do ritmo, através de influências diversas, que vão do Dub ao Dancehall, o grupo toma como referência clássicos riddims jamaicanos.
Formado por músicos atuantes na cena local, o Dubstereo se diferencia por seu “power trio”, composto por baixo, bateria e teclados, com poderio rítmico pulsante (a cargo de Alan Dugrave, Jorge Dubman e Gabriel Simon), e melodismos ricos e imagéticos, criados pela escaleta e efeitos de kaos pad. O groove desse trio traz outros sons na bagagem, que contaminam suas músicas, como o Afrobeat, o Rap e o Repente. Com duo de vocais, formado por Ru$$o e Ras Fael 1º, o grupo conta ainda com Jardel na percussão e com o seletor Raiz (((efeitos e samples))).
The Dubstereo is based on a connection of sounds and sociocultural diversity.
The group is inspired by Jamaican, Brazillian and African music, taking as a starting point and central feature the cells of Reggae's rhythmic. Seeking a renewal of the pace through various influences, ranging from Dub to Dancehall, the group takes to refers classics Jamaican riddims. Formed by active musicians in the local scene, the Dubstereo was distinguished by its "power trio", consisting of bass, drums and keyboards, with powerful rhythmic pulse (by Alan Dugrave, Jorge Dubman and IJahmantium), and rich melodies and imagetic sounds, created by escaleta and Kaos Pad’s effects. The groove of this trio brings other sounds in the baggage, which contaminate their music, like Afrobeat, Rap and Repente. With the vocal duo, formed by Ru$$o and Ras Fael 1º, the group also has Jardel on percussion and the selector Raiz (((effects and samples))).
