The Joy of Nature

Oct 1 2009 8:53 PM

The second part of the trilogy "The Empty Circle" by The Joy of Nature, entitled «Rastos de Sangue e fragmentos da Tradição», has been now released by Ahnstern.

In this second part a lot more instruments were used and more musicians collaborated, like R. Coutinho, B. Ardo (Sangre Cavallum), Rui Almeida (Massa Última), Triarca, Mara Neves and M.J.

Not only a reaction against the modern world, but an alternative to this post-modern world.

The last 22 CDs of The Joy of Nature's "aGkaanta, asRti, Parasamgate" are available through The Joy of Nature's shop - http://joyofnature.221design.com/shop.htm - for 17 € + postage costs.
"aGkaanta, asRti, Parasamgate" is a limited edition of 100 originals, as each package and card inside is different. The outside package is made of wool, with a flower made out of fish flakes (local handicraft). This release is a way to present an alternative to mass production. Two of its tracks - "Um Fogo na Névoa" and "Introdução aos Bosques" can be listened to at The Joy of Nature's myspace.
Below you can see some of the packages still available

Also available at The Joy of Nature's shop and still fresh is the reissue of Post Crash High's "The apocalypse came yesterday and no one noticed" and a compilation of two projects maintained by LC from 1999 to 2004 - "aquarelle and Moving Coil at Swan Lake".

You've suggested that book to me twice now--I guess it's a sign. I better get a hold of it.
Do you plot stars? I've had the generic computer style ones, but nothing from a real-life expert.

No reason. I've just wondered about him. I spoke with him a few weeks back and found him down to earth, but I've heard others talk about his world fame. I just wondered what you knew about him. I kinda got the feeling he liked me.

One of my worlds has been quite dark and lonely, but it feels good to have the energy moving again. No, I haven't been writing poetry, but my friend just published a chapbook and that lends me some inspiration. I have just started working on a research proposal that I should have handed in last month. Perhaps I'll get back to the soul writing after that.
Do you know Royal Nebeker much? What do you think about him?

Ah,
Good to hear from you! Yeah, I'm in 78751 now, so no, not too far at all! You'll have to come see the place once Matty gets back from Norge...

But, the master has been sent to the pressing plant, so should be 6-8 weeks for that, something like that until it's all said and done. Just about to press cds in July...so CD should be available at the beginning of August and LP at the end maybe? Something like that, will certainly let you know! But in any case, it's moving...haha, will still be setting one aside for you. And it'll be worth the wait, it's 180g for sure ;)

cheers,
