Well, there's me, Jonno, and then there's this other guy... No, wait, it's just me. No one else seems to be here. Nope.
I mean, anyone is welcome to join in. But no one has lately. Maybe I need to take this music out of the house more...
Influences
I listen to stuff, but I can never tell if I've fallen under its 'influence' or not. My record (yes, LP!) collection has some Judy Collins, some Peter Gabriel, some Genesis, some Styx, some Simon & Garfunkel, some Howard Jones, some John Williams (the composer, not the guitar player), some Richard Pryor, LOTS of Firesign Theater, some Queen [No, I don't know if this is going somewhere...], almost all of John Denver. My CD collection has the rest of the Peter Gabriel, more Genesis, Men At Work, Metallica, Enya, Frank Zappa, Fleetwood Mac, Rush, Lit, more Collective Soul than I would have suspected, Fall Out Boy [This really isn't coalescing into anything, is it?], and OH yeah, all of Fountains of Wayne, Keane, and October Project. Those last are definitely my favorites of the last decade or so, "But, children, what does it all mean?" Fucked if I know...
Sounds Like
Please tell me. If you can give me an accurate genre for my music, other than the all-encompassing "Rock," I'll be happy to use it...
Hey, double booked or not, at least you are out playing. That's more than I can say. We're ok. Things could be better. Things could always be worse, too.
duck season fire, Just stopping by to say we are not dead! Our Hiatus is over due to securing our new front man Jonny O'Brien. Look for some new tunes in early 09'
... You're afraid of my chainsaws, Jonno? Good to get a note from you ... where you at these days? I've been laying low, but I have to get out of hiding and find some work!
Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat?
A while ago I came across some stuff that inspired me to make this film:
Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella
Both artistic (ensure you get the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice.
Though source materials are quite aged, the fundamentals are still relevant today.

I gave your jukebox a good spin. I hear lots of high-quality playing and songwriting, and lovely harmonies. If you wanna know what it sounds like, well, maybe Styx's "Sing for the Day" describes a wee part of the whole. It's just you, man: beutifully crafted pop. The song about the day job is my fave: magical stuff. ~Tim
