   About Ducky Ducky
This stunning group has quite the backstory, so listen closely...

It was a dark and stormy night. Trees shattered all around. In the distance, the howling of hungry ghosts could be heard. And in the pouring rain a figure rose: Ducky Ducky, half-man, half-100% boy, with the voice of satanic angels, corse fur all over, 6 arms and huge robotic legs. It roamed the lands, spreading wisdom/Beck-like insanity and folky/bluesy/rocking grooves. Ducky Ducky was then shot. Four young men took the burden of Ducky Ducky upon themselves, carrying on its message and legacy.

But the real story is that Peter Wiley met Kiel "Fingers" Nowakowski through Peter's ex-, who was friends with Kiel's girlfriend, and they became friends.

Eric T. Voigt was met by Peter soon afterwards via the internet and blogs and such. They hung out a few times, and after listening to Peter's solo music, Eric and Kiel figured they should hop in on the fun, and did.

John Paul Zigterman the Last banded on with them as bassist. John Paul was a long time friend of Peter's and a fellow trombonist in the Saugatuck High School Band.

They recorded their first song on Friday the Thirteenth, 2006; a quirky prog-rock, psychedelic, hip-hop fusion, and then their second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh, and music hasn't been the same since... they assume they'll record more music soon, don't worry

The band is currently OFF our hiatus, as Peter Wiley finally had an opening for us. We've finally created new music! It took 3 months, but it happened, dammit. We plan on recording more as time progresses. Wooo! Spreak!

- Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds (Nowakowski: electric guitar/bass guitar; Wiley: electric guitar/programming; Voigt: vox; Paul Zindel: playwright)

- Songs About Ghosts (Wiley: electric guitar/programming; Nowakowski: classical guitar; Voigt: words/vox; Zigterman: bass guitar)

- Broken Phone (Nowakowski: electric and acoustic guitar/vox; Wiley: programming; Voigt: words/vox; Zigterman: bass guitar)

- No Vox (Wiley: electric guitar/programming; Zigterman: bass guitar; Voigt: words/falsetto-tenor vox)

- I'll Wear Pants (Nowakowski: acoustic guitar/backing vox; Wiley: ukulele/backing vox; Voigt: words/vox/mandolin; Zigterman: toms/backing vox)

- Interlude (Zigterman: vox/dulcimer/words; Voigt: backing vox/bells/toms; Nowakowski: bass guitar; Wiley: guitar/backing vox)

- Keep the Car Running Cover Explosion! (Nowakowski: bass guitar/backing vox; Voigt: vox/hand claps/tom; Wiley: dulcimer/acoustic guitar; Arcade Fire: song)

- Me and My Cowboy Gun (Wiley: electric guitars/organ/programming; Nowakowski: acoustic guitar; Zigterman: bass guitar; Voigt: words/vox),

- The Bears' Revenge (Wiley: electric guitar/programming; Nowakowski: electric guitar; Zigterman: bass guitar; Voigt: mandolin)

- John Paul Doesn't Care (Zigterman: bass guitar; Wiley: electric guitar/vox; Voigt: words/falsetto vox; Nowakowski: electric guitar)

This 'space mostly maintained by Eric T. Voigt, occasionally Peter Wiley, and more recently Kiel Nowakowski. John Paul doesn't seem to care.
Peter Wiley designs the layouts. Aren't they soooo pretty? He's pretty good at that, huh?

YEA. PUT THAT OTHER ONE UP. I don't really care. Eric's down there being a punk again. Yar. But hey, I love very much (and more) the new profile pic. It makes us look like... HEY NOW, A REAL BAND! That's really strange for us. But strange is our deal so it's not really. Which is a deviation from our strangitude. Good job on the infinite loop of paradox pic, Pete. Eric, you should try adding some more basil, it'll bring out the hint of lime. Kiel, we finally beat that jerk! Now let's catch 'em all! Especially Charizard.

Where's that other one? I want it up because of the banter at the beginning. Plus, its good. We can always rework it next time, but for now I want that shit UP! Put some more of the better pictures up, too. Or send them my way and I'll do it. That smiling me is creepy. Not very me. Now I have work. Bye. Oh, and the new song is grrrrereeeeeeaaaood. John Paul has no reason to be ashamed of his rapping. It suits us.

Wow. I have no idea what to think about the new song. I'm a little (very) embarrased about the way i did that. I think it should be called "Off Kilter" because of the way it (doesn't) fit(s) together. It is.... interesting. But thank you Pete for not blowing off putting it up. You are my hero. For now. Eric, good god, those dragon-headed zombie witches are EVERYWHERE. Kiel, Apparently Lance was not the last opponent. Now we must face GARY!

AUGH! the pressure is breaking my..... spine. Don't worry about it though. I'll be ok. It's cool, I hate Mike with the fury of a thousand suns. I hate you too. Except for the part where you're a relatively cool dude. But other than that, yea, pure loathing. And Steve Miller is better than Def Leppard. Except Def Leppard took drugs all the time. And had an album called "Adrenalize". So go smoke a cock. Or don't, just to shake things up. As always, Pete attacks the core of my being. Eric hasn't even been to Goodwill yet. Kiel, We got the Diamondbadge! On to the Elite Four!

dude, john. def leppard = awesome. wait, did i just misspell awful?? my bad.
wayyyy worse than steve miller. because steve miller at least had enough class to wear some fucking cowboy boots. and he took drugs at midnight. ha. fuck you. hahahhahahha
mike schmitt really wants you to know that he hates you. i don't hate you. i'm writing this due to peer pressure.
i just hate def leppard.

oh wait, john, i DO hate you. (yeah, that was peer pressure, too.) not really. i mean it. i meant what i said. thursday, sure, let's record. not fo-sho, though.

This is good. I like how it's all coming together. I hate how Pete's a dick to Def Leppard. Just give them another chance. I know they're cheesy as all hell, but they're really very good. I should probably learn those songs you listed, then, eh? eh? I'll try, but I may fail. And then I'd have to go to summer school, so don't let me fail. Also, I think it would be prudent (you prudes) to pick a day where we can consistently practice every week. Like Thursday. If we have it in advance, we can all try to consistently get Thursday off. Or another day. But I like Thursday. Peter, learn to get rocked. Eric, I'd like to see you in clown shoes by the end of the summer. Kiel, we have to work on Iron Tail or we'll never defeat Giovanni!

FOURTH WALLS COVERS PIXIES!!!!!?!?!?!?

but seriously, they ARE my favorite band of the 80s. by far. definitely top five for me. like, i'm kinda obsessed. if not where is my mind? then we should at least do debaser or gouge away.

alright, fine... no steve miller band. it's reallly cheezy, i know.

no beatles? even if we just played it live? yeah... i guess.

the hardest button to button would be really fun to cover.

african herbsman by bob marley. it'd be cool to like, make it punk-ish rather than reggae.

space oddity. yeah. we should do it.

animal by def leppard. they rock. actually, i'm completely kidding. i just wanted to piss you off, eric. def leppard sucks the dick pretty hardcore.

needle in the hay by elliot smith. of course it wouldn't be all acoustic. use electrics instead. could be pretty cool if you ask me.

st stephen. yeah. and don't tell me that fucking murray is all over that grateful dead stuff because this song is the shit and would be a blast to cover.

and we should at least learn the beginning to freebird. just for kicks. so that when hicks are like "freebird!" we can break out. and then be like "that song sucks, why don't you go fuck your sister and attend your next kkk burning"

and we gotta learn frantic. such a sweet song. but maybe not... could go horribly wrong.

and for once in his life, kiel should LEARN THE CHORDS to songs instead of always LEAVIN ME HANGIN while he does his DEEDLEY DEEDLEY DEEDLEY DEEE shtuff.

just kiddin', k-man.

Here's what I say about the choice of covers:

~back in the ussr (beatles) - No fucking way. I refuse to cover the Beatles. They need to remain pure. Everytime they're covered it shames the original.
~paint it black (rolling stones) Yes. Good call.
~where is my mind? (pixies) Fourth Walls already covers them. Do you really want to be a Fourth Walls?
~i was born [a unicorn] (unicorns) Yes.
~volcanoes (islands--this is the best song on the album, you know it to be true!) It is not the best, but yes, we should cover it.
~take the money and run (steve miller band--cheesy, but cool) No. Just... no.
~jesus don't want me for a sunbeam (vaselines) Yes.
~american music (violent femmes) Of course, damn it.

There are others I was thinking, but can't think of now. I'll get back to you on them.

not to mention that we'll practice some cover songs. with a drummer.

i'm thinking these (i already know how to play em and they're simple:)

oh john, you always make me laugh. yeah, we have a show that i signed us up for in august. at some library bull. but it'll be fun.

okay, this is the deal. we need to record a few more songs, then release our first "album" (or EP) and then we get a drummer to practice our songs with us. then we record the next album with a drummer instead of a machine. ya dig?
