Duke Abduction is the creative partnership of four fellow musicians and its formation can be traced back in February 2008. Incorporating various musical influences and seeking inspiration that leads to cathartic musical revelations, D. A.'s sound is not easy to describe; floating beyond strict categorizations and genre limitations. Imagine acid rock explorations exploding into punk supernovas, soul- funk aesthetics and lyrical themes giving way to jazz- flavored, psychedelic jams... Duke Abduction have already begun their journey through stormy nights and dazzling days, occasionally falling somewhere in between absurdity and grace. Their forthcoming debut album, produced by blend aka mishkin, is set for release later this year.
