CCS is an initiator and supporter of musical events on campus and of the music scene in Durham, bringing together a diverse array of cultures and subcultures. CCS serves the Duke community in Durham, providing space for expression to local and regional performers. Our group is the nexus of communication between the public and artists, seeking collaboration with various social groups on campus and afar. CCS offers space for newcomers, sounds beyond those of the charts and mainstream, as well as shows by all kinds of projects. Our public is composed, like the group, of people of various ages, cultural scenes, sexual orientations, people of different ethnicities and subcultures together. For us that’s cause for celebration. We wish you – and ourselves – plenty of fun.
About me: We are the programming directors of Campus Concert Series for Duke University.
We enjoy all kinds of music, especially local music. We manage a pub/concert venue on West Campus and we put on shows from local and regional bands every Friday, but we also organize shows during the week in collaboration with other student groups.
Please shoot me an email if you would like to play on campus!
