Duke have been playing together since 2005, having met through a shared love of improvised music. The energy and unique sound of their live shows creates massive interest wherever they played, and this in turn led to non-stop gigging and established residencies in venues all over the country.
With a rapidly expanding fan base, growing interest has led to high profile concerts and spots on the 2006 festival circuit. Headline gigs in London, Bristol and a tour of Greece followed. On the back of Slum Village's successful collaborations with Kanye West and John Legend, Duke were invited to support the highly regarded Detroit based hip-hop band on their recent European tour. There was a show stopping performance at the V Festival 2006 and Duke are in the process of booking for all the major festivals in 2007 as well as showcasing in all over London event and working furiously on their much anticipated album.
