"The missing link between Pavement and My Bloody Valentine" - The Devil Has the Best Tuna blogDuke Raoul mix chiming guitars with weeping synthesizers over fluid rhythms and yearning harmonies. The Brighton-based four-piece conjures the guitar interplay of Sonic Youth, emotive textures of M83 and wistful pop of Grizzly Bear and Field Music. Creating layered compositions using impulse and intuition alongside a palette of deconstructed influences, they craft emotive songs dealing with the everyday and the surreal all at once. They are about to follow up last year's well-received debut 7" with the new Young Starlings EP on Prime Cut Music. A powerful live force, they've recently played with Esben & the Witch, Sky Larkin, Erland & the Carnival, and Stagecoach.
